If you're taking hits from multiple directions, that 30% auto-ignore has its advantages. Even better if a field counts as seperate protection from the armour's innate ability. IMHO they should as they are different things, albeit using similar rules.

I'm on the other side of the fence, I don't consider a suit of armour in a game that has stats for titan to be too strong for any attack %30 of the time without a field of some kind.

I also wouldn't consider 4+ levels of dodging entirely wasted if you got to terminator armour level without having to dodge then your GM is doing something wrong gran_risa.gif Plus of course that's assuming you are always going to be in termy armour from that point.

Sure, some characters lean more towards artificer armour (+ a power field idealy) rather than termie armour as their ideal and that's all part of the personal choice.
