I was sorta sad to not see them in RoB because they sort of act like vehicles (the line kinda blurs here on "vehicle") but it makes sense that they were omitted. But they are integral to the Tau way of warfare. In the Core the Tau Commander has an XV8 Crisis suit and technically the Stealth Suits are XV15 or XV22 models. I'm definitely hoping the see the full armory of Tau battlesuit weapons for the VX8 (fusion plasters, cyclic ion guns, etc) and XV88 Broadsides as weel.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised to see them treat the battlesuits the same way the table top does, which is not as vehicles.

The weapons would be nice to see, but you can make close proximities just by using human weapon stats (plasma cannons, meltas, etc) and then just remove the overheat quality, since the tau weapons don't suffer that.

For the rail cannon, you are probably looking at a very high damage AP 12-14 weapon, that requires something with heavy stabilizers to be still for a round to fire. I think some people on the boards have thrown up stats in other areas.

The Railgun on the broadsides would just be a twin-linked version of the one on the Hammerhead without the blast version.
