FFG just officially announced release of Forging the Chain, so in case anyone was wondering about it...it's legal, which should round out our card pool nicely. So the question is, will anyone go for the Maester deck with these new options?

)
I will know if I can make it after work this Friday. Right now it is looking good.
Hey everyone coming to Kubla. One week away!
I have a room for Friday night that I was sharing with my wife. She is no longer going to stay at the Con Friday night (too many complications with our two kids). So, I have a room on Friday all to myself. I was going to let the room go unless some people were in need of a place to stay on Friday and would be willing to pitch in a little cash. Just post here and we can hash it out if you're in need of a room. I only have it for Friday, so if you are looking for Saturday night as well, I can't help ya!
Syd
PS. For those that are worried, Sienna is still coming to the Con all day Sat. for the Joust to hang out and help me run it.

<whew> I'm definitely going to need her help with the Maester's Challenge.
I've never done the challenge with more than ~20 people, so this could be interesting. I've worked out some ways to manage the chaos, but with the numbers we're expecting, and wanting to focus on playing, I am planning on putting her to work as much as possible.
We have plenty of volunteers this week too.
We have the usual AGoT guys, plus Eric Wood is the assistant CCG coordinator, plus I have 1-2 other volunteers on staff just about the entire day. We should be fine in terms of extra help. (That doesn't mean additional people are not completely welcome). The more the merrier. Plus, if she helps for the day, she might even get a green pin
She would love a green pin!
She has made it clear that she wants to help us out as much as possible Johnny. She isn't quite ready to jump back into playing (her one appearance at a Regional discouraged her a bit I think) but she does want to see everyone and be involved.
Yes, all...
The Spider will be in attendance. I am the new Assistant CCG Coordinator!
Errrwooooo!!!! Good to hear from you, can;t wait to catch up at Kubla
I'll bring the Raidâ„¢
This will give some people a good laugh. Posting my Bara "Rush" deck from Kubla last year. At this point, I was about 2 weeks into the game, didn't have a valar, and really had no clue what was going on. I feel like I've come a long way in the past year.

Lol Fieras, you have definitely improved on your deck building since then...I love how you had 9 limited locations in a "rush" deck (you'd have to play 8-9 rounds to get all them out on the table and by then I'm sure the rush probably didn't work)
Well, I beat Luke, John M., and Trevor, probably because they didn't know what garbage to expect in my deck. I did, however, get completed schooled by Jeff and John K.
there are so many cards I didn't even know existed before then. I didn't have access to Narrow Sea, Kings Landing Robert, Bodyguards, Refugees, Carrion Birds, or Seat of Power at the time (Nor did I know most of them existed) So, its definitely been a learning experience.
Well, Seat of Power didn't exist back then.
Also, I don't think it is that bad a deck for a newb of a few weeks with a limited cardpool. ~I might copy it to see how it does against my playgroup.
Just wanna say how happy this thread makes me after reading the "What I learned" thread. Glad to know there's still love here on the board.

True dat. And it only makes me wish pine for the days when I got to travel to Kubla on the company dime. Best... con... experience... ever... [well, almost, only Sith (and Sithlord) deal in absolutes].
Definitely going to try to make a run at the "Drunker than Robert Baratheon" title...

The draft will be flowing at the draft. As of right now the Joust Regional on Saturday sounds like it is going to be epic in size...can't wait! Not sure what that means for the draft that I am running on Friday evening. I have heard from a few sources not to expect a large turnout...but that's UNACCEPTABLE! Not only is the draft the first official AGOT LCG event of the con, but it is a free draft! Which means extra money to buy a few rounds while you shuffle through cards you haven't seen in years.
So just to discount my own fears (or to cement them), who from the boards is planning on attending the awesome, FREE, casual (but still with cool prizes), and all-around good time that is an AGOT Draft?

I am sure I should know this, but where are you coming in from, Dobbler?
