Road to legend - Chests in Dungeons

By thejoker, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

hello

i have a question about road to legend ...

at pg 17 of the rulebook: when a hero open a chest in a dungeon, the party have to roll 4 black power dice , for each blank they can draw a treasure card .

the question is: they can draw one treasure card for each hero?

ie:

the party roll 2 blank...they can draw 2 treasure card from the deck or 8 treasure card?

thank you

You answered yourself: the party receives a treasure, not each hero. So one blank dice=1 treasure card, not 4.

uhm..sorry but i'm not agree !!! sorpresa.gif

In the rulebook to pag 17, it say : Treasures are drawn from the listed treasure deck as normal.

And "as normal", has always been a treasure for hero.

I understand in this way....gui%C3%B1o.gif

Not so.

That is a rule for what the treasure chest contains, not how to draw it.

DJitD pg18
The overlord then consults the Quest Guide to determine what the chest contains. Some possible contents are as follows:
...
Copper Treasure: Each hero draws one card from the copper treasure deck and may either keep it or immediately discard it and receive its (half by FAQ/GLOAQ) money value instead.

The nearest there is to a rule about how to draw treasures is on the next page.
DJitD pg19
Heroes gain treasure from opened chests no matter where they are (even if they’re in town). If a treasure deck runs out of cards, it is not reshuffled. The heroes simply cannot gain any more treasure of that type this game. Items gained from an opened chest may immediately be equipped, placed in the hero’s pack, or dropped. A hero may immediately re-equip his items, place items in his pack, or drop items in order to equip the new item.

RtL overwrites the rules for a treasure chest's contents with the four black dice rule. Thus the 'each hero' part is gone (actually, that is probably where the 4 black dice come from, one for each hero).
But the drawing rules are not overwritten, so if you roll a blank you can give the treasure found to a hero in town who may immediately equip it. And if you run the treasure deck out of items (actually possible in a campaign) you don't reshuffle (that week).

And just to offer full confirmation, this from the GLOAQ (gathered list of answered questions - officially answered by FFG staff)
How many treasures are given out per treasure roll?

Also, one treasure per blank rolled. Not per hero. Campaign mode is more about making the most of your resources than normal mode is.

uhm...viewed in this way you are correct...angel.gif

but my doubts were on the phrase " Each hero draws one card from the...." where, "each hero draws" I associate to "as normal"

(Very sorry for my English) sad.gif

In conclusion if this rule is on the "gathered list of answered questions" it's all ok and Thanx very much !! gui%C3%B1o.gif

if is not a problem there is a link for FLAQ !?!?

we have several problems with many rules and skills and if the answer is there are better read than discuss.

The problem is FFG's poor writing, not your english.
