let me look, will check my Into the Storm for Penal World and will adjust as needed other then that how do the other things look void.
Online with Rogue Trader
looks good. so this character is looking for the lost heir to the Dynasty?
yeap, that is part of his agenda. I got some very interesting nerrative plans for this character hope you guys enjoy him and the cast of npcs.
sounds very interesting. by the way have you see our ork friend recently? And how are you going to introduce him into the game counting i don't think the imperial navy would allow an ork to disembark at port wander.
Funny you speak of that;
My char concept was he was some sneaky git on 100-100 Teef (which he called 1000-1000 teef; it got down graded to 100-100 after he stole a crapload of teef, so he claim...) He got a Kruizer, went into the void..then go dumped by his #2, since he was bigger, rather than smarter (and dus the leader) he escaped his Kruizer in some escape pod, only to get picked by some slaver; he was on his way to get back in the Imperium for some blood pit gladiatoral battle entertaiment (as salve) when the slaver ship got raided by the Arbitrators when it docked at Port Wander; my Char escaped during the chaos of battle and hid on the Station until he got to drop on someone (whoever is the Captain of the ship I'm on; I think it's you Void_onion) and explain him all polite like, that I got to get back into the Expanse to get my Kruizer back, and that I'm actually a good Ork: since you know, I didn't chop him the moment I saw him and talked instead making Graf way more reliable than your average Ork
I'll add the history tonight: I was suppsoed to do it yesterday but I was sucked into the whole election craze going on in Canada right now
Lol, sounds like my Rogue traders is going to have an interesting set of goals. Not only to i have to expand the wealth and power of my house, i have to help find the lost heir to another house and help an ork get his ship back. oh happy day.

That wasn't on the Rogue Trader brochure!
It's no big deal. may not be able to find your ship, but i might be able to capture on for your temporary use. might take a while to find the heir, but there should be plenty of things to do. catalog new worlds, establish colonies, harass local pirates. i'm sure we can find you plenty of things to fight.
All'z gud Kaptin!
Let's not forget DA LOOT I'z got my loot bag!
not just the Loot, you forgot about any salvage that can be stowed or strapped to the hull. But yes i'm sure pirate hunting should bring plenty of loot. and maybe a few good fights.
Hmm..putting loot and salvage on the hull..brilliant! Plus it doubles as armour.
aren't we also supposed to have an arch-militant and another RT?
I think the Archmillitant dropped IIRC..
hopefully we can find more players or we will have a very limited field of flexibility and specialties that can only be truly covered by player characters. Even though i'm a Rogue Trader i don't come with knowledge of imperial tactics only available to the arch-militant, not sure how close an ork is to covering that area. We don't have a navigator, could use an Explorator, Just hope that the second RT will show up. My ship is highly specialized for frigate killing, can't carry a lot of cargo, going to have to either capture or buy a transport.
Well, my other 'free' acquisition idea was to have 'Da Art 'o WAAAGH' data-slate, which would be the Ork equivalent of the Tactica Imperialis..
OR you can always acquire a copy of the Tactica Imperialis; it's not the skill, but it's better than nothing...but yeah- we'll be short on a few skills; we'll have to improvise it seems
at least orks are good at improvising, or so the legend goes. well, given that i have the battlefleet home world i should have some form of officers hand book. I could acquire an imperial navy tactics primer. then again i would have one of the only ships in the expanse with an ork trained security/boarding teams, if you wouldn't mind. It might be better to have an arch-militant but you get what ppl want to play, really hard to get navigators and astropath.
I know- in the game I'm running, a navigator was easely found in Footfall- but again I'm not one to stop a whole campaign going because of such 'tiny details'. Class-wsie, those 2 are Psykers minus the ability to go unoticed, not to mention critical to the ship's operations, so I guess most think that being stuck on the ship more than most is not that much HIGH ADVENTURE
And I guess you would have a copy of the Imperial Navy Officer's uplifting primer or the equivalent of it.
As for ork improv: all depends how the GM sees it; I am not above using the Ork abilitites once or twice, like just having an L-shaped piece of metal, jams some bulelts in it, and voila! poor quality slugga; you know, Ork tech works because the Orks thinks it does.
all ships have a supply of astropaths and a few navigators, they go off the ships rating. With my ships rating being 40, there just as good as a pc. it's just there unique skills can be use in a space battle as independent actions if inacted by PCs. same idea be hind an explorator player leading repair attempts or aiding the machine spirit with out the RT calling out an extended action and losing a round of shooting, hit&run or boarding action. Though as an RT i could always buy their services, just won't be the same as pc.
LOL, man you make my story telling so much more fun. Before you came back into the conversation I had an idea how to introduce the Ork into this entire fun of an enviroment. I can modify it a bit to go with your pland Barddoc.
General Concept:
While Graf 'Eadmuncha Kaptin of the Ork Kruza Da 'Ead of Mork was raiding and assaulting the colony world of Grace. Kaptin Graf 'Eadmuncha attempted to lead an elite group of Nobz to assault the facilities of Port Chorda. The assault did not go according to the Kaptins plan as his 2nd in Command.War Boss Nazog Maggul found his chance to create an accident. With as much intellect os War Boss Nazog Maggul could muster he arranged for an orbital bombardment to occure on the landing location of Kaptin Graf 'Eadmuncha. The attack did hit the location but did not kill the good Kaptin. In the mean time Omari "Ghost" Godwin was on assignment to capture the Reaver Lord of the Black Cross, Sir Jacob Astranox. The entertainment occured as the 'Ead of Mork moved out of the system as the Reaver clan of the Black Cross defended their hunting grounds. The stealthy Emperor's Mercy the pride and joy of the Reaver Clan of the Black Cross saved the day for the lawless backwater world of Grace or so they thought. The Black Cross was defending Grace with one objective in mind slaves.
The orbital assault that the Ork Krooza had on the Port of Chorda was remarkable but not extensive. While Omari Godwin was in search for survivors he encountered the survivors from the Ork Raiding party being lead by a some what battered Graf 'Eadmuncha. What happened in the next couple of hours was what some would call an epic struggle. The Chorda Port Defense were holding the line but at an expensive price in blood. For Omari Godwin the world became a small tunnel were the only thing that mattered was survival. In front of him Graf 'Eadmuncha the biggest of the foul aliens. The struggle went down in a sense of survival of the fittest. Graf and Omari emptied the ammo packs they had and ended going fist to fist with jagged scraps of metal as improvised weapons. As the struggle for survival was on its way a small flight of Gun Cutters dropped into the scene. Bombardment began from them catching both sides unprepared and the raids began. Both combatants reacted more out of instinct then anything to avoid being killed. The game of blood had just gecome more interesting. The hunter and prey had just become the prey of a larger predator.
Through overwhelming force Graf 'Eadmuncha was captured and shackled as the prized trophy of the Black Cross Reaver clan. Omari Godwin was pressed into service though his wounds would have killed a normal man. When Omari awoke he was in the Medicae Deck of the Emperor's Mercy with out a weapon but in chains. He later recalls that he was spared the hardship of slave work due to his pysique and talent in blood sports. He was to be a prized gladiator of the Black Cross Reaver clan.
The Emperor's Mercy served as a mobile blood sports arena that travelled around the borderlands of the Koronus Expanse and the Calixis Sector. The circuit was known as the Darkstryder Blood Arena. The next stop the edge of Rubycon II, Port Wander. The match of the event "The Ghost of Tsor d'Pris" vs "The Ork". All manner of people came to this event in a very silent method. The event had been infiltrated by a couple of Alcolyte Warband of the Inquisition and other special interest groups.
The Raid on the Emperor's Mercy was to start as the main event occurred. In the middle of combat as Graf and Omari exchanged fists of emnity a superstructure of the ship started shaking. The raid had started, soon power went dim in the arena and teleportation homers were activated. Inquisitorial Storm Troopers started materializing and executing all in sight. It seems that the Inquisition wanted something that the Reaver clan held in a secure location and it was not the fighters. The duo of fighters understood each other at an instinctive level that working together to overcome the greater threat was more important then killing each other. As the assault went on the fighters managed to shatter the manacle that bound them together in an endless cycle of pounches and kicks. The first objective in both of their minds was to exit the premise.
Through low cunning and a bit of luck the duo managed to escape the arena area with their own fair share of blood shed. Having killed a now terrorized ship armsman Omari grabbed the weapon he had and started opening a path as Graf brutalized the weaker human opponents. The path of blood shed they carved eventually led them to a small shuttle bay were they spotted a Gun-Cutter were a black casket with the insignia of the Inquisition was being loaded. The Alcolytes in the area started an all out assault on the new guests. Omari simply thought "Shoot First and don't bother asking questions later, typical Imperial methodology".
With a glance at Graf, Omari knew they were thinking the same thing an assault head on to a fortified working escape route. If it was any other sane person they might have tought that they had a better chance with the mess in the arena. The insane assault of the gun cutter lead to some heavy injuries on both sides and it was a very complex tactical fight for Omari but a very straight faword fight for Graf. The Alcolytes while good fighters did not have the superior training that Omari had gain from his stay at Chimera Penal colony or his training in the Penal Legions. The last alcolyte that was not retreating to the safety of the inside of the gun cutter was taken down by the brutal strength of Graf.
Once on board the stress of battle did not let down for a moment. Inside the figure head who later Omari found out to be Inquisitor Lex Goldmoon of the Ordo Xenos was not what you would call a happy individual. He inmediatley with started directing the remaining alcolytes and they snaped out of the sudden shock of the insane actions of the strange duo. Inquisitor Lex Goldmoon himself joined the battle handling both Omari and Graf and bay and besting them with some struggle and help of the remaining alcolytes.
The next thing Omari recalls after being knocked out cold was a secure prison cell with hime being chained. He tought to himself "Once again I have to meet the jeweler of prisons, that a drag". Time passed and nothing happened but through the vibration in the deck plates Omari could tell that they were traveling in real space and a rapid speed.
The ship stopped after a few hours and the door slit open. The Inquisitor stood infront of Omari and spoke in a subdued but stern voice. "It seems that you have taken out a dozen of my best alcolytes." Omari simply interjected with "your point Inquisitor?" It seems you do not understand the situation you are in? To be frank Inquisitor I think I understand it very well, I was captured while on personal assignment by pirates after a brutal fight with an alien and then turned into a pit fighter for the joy of individuals like yourself and then took the chance to survive by assaulting what I will take was your ship. So yes Inquisitor I know were I stand a man that is in chains once again. The Inquisitor looks at the man infront of him for a moement not understanding the reason this man is not in the least bit rightened by his situation and on top of that he points out what has become obvious to the Inquisitor in a sarcastic remark.
You sir, are Omari Godwin, 97th Heir of House Godwin of the Lost Colony of Tsor d'Pris, you are also known as "Ghost" or "The Ghost of Tso d'Pris". You were exiled to Chimera instead of being killed due to your distance from the Insurection your father comitted. It seems though the Emperor has other plans for your retchet soul then waste away at Chimera. As you may know the Godwins are the Lord Castellan line of the ancient Rogue Trader House of Eltenin de Halcyon. As all legitimate heirs to the line have been exiled or executed you are the only surviving heir to the title. If it was for my choice I would end it at this point and ironicly give you "The Emperor's Mercy" but as it comes to pass you are not to be joined with the Emperor just yet.
I have been given strict orders straight from Holy Terra that you as Castellan of the Eltanin de Halcyon line are bound to serve that House. In this communication I also have the decree to give you any resources needed for your mission. You are now in name and deed Lord Castellan Omari Godwin of House Eltanin de Halcyon and since I can give you my version of the Emperor's Mercy I think it should be apropriate to still fashion it out of something else. You are to uphold the agreement of the Godwin House on to death and uphold the Impossible Warrant to the letter.
Omari looks at the Inquisitor with an optimistic sardonic expression. I will take it if I do not you will shoot the Emperor's Mercy into my head out of plesure am I wrong Inquisitor? At that remark the Inquisitor takes his hell pistol out and shoot Omari in the leg at point blank. The Emperor may declare you free but I do not have to enjoy your plesureable conversation. As for your pet take it with you and make sure it does not trouble us. You are empowered to use any resource you have and that thing is one resources you seem to use well already. If it was for my choice I would purge you both for heresy, treason, and other less common crimes to the Imperium.
The Inquisitor walks out of the cell and turns his head to say one last thing. You will be working with a Mr. Holt, please make this a civilized relation ship gentlemen. The last word hanging in an equal optimistic and sardonic tone as Omari used.
this is going to be fun, i'm guessing that i meet up with you 2 some time after i arrive from the imperium to dock at port wander. also, do i still have some form of officers hand book or something relative to my time served as an officer in the imperial navy given my BattleFleet home world? anyway, i'm happy me and Brad's convos have added to the colorful back ground surrounding our future partnership.
I would say you have a Imperial Tactica Primer, I am not sure how overpowered this choice is but as long as you have the reference material you can use Tactica Imperialis as an untrained skill. Since you do not have specilized knowledge but just the primer's example. Maybe later you could do an elite advance choice of the skill and make it into an endevour for lets say military war games training
.
sounds like an idea, i was planning to try an raise my crew rating by taking part in supporting navy training exercises if called to do so. also one of the last thing i was talking to brad about is that he had something similar for ork tactics. also though it might be funny to have ork trained armsmen. as far as being over powered with me having a tactica primer i personally feel that an RT should have at least some grasp of proper naval tactics especially one that had some military back ground.
My short term goals for my RT is to be a pirate hunter of some renown and slowly build a wolfpack out of captured vessels. if i catch a good one i might give its command to the ork until he gets his kroozer back. lol, we are going to have a really odd fleet at the start, by the way any word from our other rogue trader and how often are you on that vent server?
No word from the other RT, I am in vent all the time, most of the time I am in the afternoon.
what name do you run under?

No I didn't drop. I was busy this days. I will make an account tomorrow. I would still like to play if I can.
