Hi guys I am building a Pirate Boarding type raider and was looking at the Disruptor Macrocannons. My question is how long does it take to repower a component? and how many components can you repower per turn. Additional references to this topic welcome and if you can cite source please.
Disruption Macrocannons
Emergency Repairs action, page 216. 1d5 Turns per Component , time reduced by degrees of success.
Battle Fleet Koronus has optional rules for NPCs which allows them to repair a number of components equal to their Crew Rating Bonus. The number of turns also depends on crew rating. That's on page 114.
For a cruiser with macrobateries in the range of 11,12 with best quality turbo and speed 8 and manuvrability 35 it is worth to take disruptor macrocannons or disruptor macrocannons broadside? Or the normal macrobateries batteries will do the job of the disruptor macrocannons?
Disruption Macros can't salvo with other macrobatteries. Salvos are incredibly effective, so if you already have Hecutors you are better off loading up on more batteries that can salvo. Sunsears aren't a bad idea since they have comparable range with more damage and you can still benefit from the Hecutor's crit effect.
With Disruption cannons, you either want to go all Disruption or Disruption + Lance (they work better with lances than do other macros). As an alternative, you can load Disruption broadsides on one side and Hecutors on the other to have more combat options, but your opponents may be able to take advantage of that configuration.
