This event was scheduled to fall after two other East Coast regionals events: Washington, DC (May 7) and Philadelphia Area (May 14) . YOU CANNOT CLAIM TO BE THE EAST COAST CHAMPION WITHOUT PLACING AT THIS TOURNAMENT.

Build Your Army, Gather Your Forces & Compete for Control of Westeros!
The Regionals Event will follow standard FFG guidelines for a 1 vs. 1 “Joust” competition. FFG lists full rules for competitive play on its website (www.fantasyflightgames.com). In addition:

• There will be five 50-minute preliminary rounds of “Swiss” styled 1 vs. 1 pairing, with cut to top four or top eight (depending on turnout) for quarter- or semi-finals.
• All Game of Thrones LCG cards released on or before Friday, April 13 will be legal for this event, excluding those explicitly “banned” for competition in FFG’s most recent FAQ.
• Note: The event will also incorporate other rules changes and updates listed in the most recent FAQ (posted on FFG’s website), including the recently released “restricted list” rules announced here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=2141

For questions about the event, prizes, or legality of cards, please contact Dan with the NYC Night’s Watch at NightsWatchNYC [at] gmail.com

As was the case last year, the winner of the NYC Regional with be "Kingsmoot in the East" Champion.

Probably won't be there, now. The new Restricted list has killed all interest in the Regional season. Nothing personal to the NYC meta. Probably wouldn't play in any Regional if Claymont wasn't hosting, but I feel obligated to support the local meta. Hopefully see you guys in Claymont.

Kev, please, I don't want to be the only one at the 'Moot with dashing good looks. I haven't been active on the boards much nor been playing, but I am getting excited to return to action at the NYC regional in large part because I look forward to reconnecting with everyone. And I plan to get back to my roots and play Stark --not winning Stark, but Stark nonetheless (hey, if I'm going to lose I might as well do it with the house I've considered my "true" house since I started playing) and probably something somewhat goofy. You don't want to miss out on laughing at my expense, do you?

Jason, just put enough intrigue in there to capitalize on your high military claim and you should do fine.

Bolton Refugee, Cat of the Canals, Catelyn, Maester Vyman, Littlefinger, Jorah Mormont, Reek, Roose Bolton, Bastard of Bolton, Varys are all good choices. Mix in the tullys and you've got a decent deck.

Stark is a powerful house that is often under appreciated. Just don't tunnel vision into a military murder deck. Their strength is being able to clear the board early but you need to then get card advantage to capitalize on it.

And don't be afraid to put multiple copies of uniques, I know Stag has his own opinions on it, but no offense to him the best Stark player I know was Ethan, so one should use his deck design as a standard to use.

Contact me if you wanna help test it on OCTGN I have no problems helping you extract your best form for the tourney.
