Help with assigning distinctions and honours

By Skie, in Deathwatch Gamemasters

Hey all

My players has successfully completed a mini-campaign, they were brave and heroic and I'd like to give them something else apart from xp and renown, namely a distinction or/and a honour. I'd appreciate your help with suggestions which of those would be appropriate. Here is the campaign's summary:

They were sent to a planet Eulidya, which held to the Imperial code for the millenia when the Reach was out of (heh) reach. They were supposed to retrieve an ancient artifact to help the crusade. But it turned out it was all a chaos plot to overtake the planet, they bravely fought with Chaos Space Marines and Demons, found a secret, forgotten Deathwatch Station with a Land Raider in it, they found the real ancient artifact and destroyed Chaos Stronghold. Not to mention countless lesser objectives.

For sure I'd like to give them Forbidden Knowledge (Chaos) or/and Favourite Enemy, but any other suggestions will be welcomed!

I really like the honours in ROB. Perhaps give the player who got the kill shot on your big bad a Marksman's Honour, or if anyone resisted temptation give them the Imperialis. The squad leader could even get an Iron Skull if it was his leadership that led directly to the victory.

I agree with Telagos...check out the deeds section of RoB and see if one stands out as appropriate. Do a search for Imperial 40k awards and see if any of those fit as well.
