When can we expect these to be released? I enjoy the game but don't have the time/patience to paint the figures.

A friend of mine painted his set using the dip method. It took him two evenings to get all the minis painted. They turned out very nice. I'm planning on going that route.

You can buy the Investigator miniatures here. I wouldn't ever expect painted monster miniatures to be available.
