Some questions!

By ZAR THE BARBARIAN, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

1) I assuming you can't spend fatigue on health, unless you have a special ability or skill or a potion. Is this right?

2) If a skeleton archer is adjacent to a hero, he can't close combat. Right? So assume he justs moves then attacks. Is this correct?

3) Staying in town or in one area is risky. Right? If a hero or two is killed, is it better to leave the rest of the party in the dungeon so the overlord can't respond as many creatures or is it better for them to stay in town together?

4) If you have no money, there is no need to stay in town is there?

5) Can the hero that activates a glyph go into town or do they have to wait next turn when the others have already entered town because of him activating the glyph for them?

Thanks for replys

That is correct. Fatigue can be spent on adding extra dice or gain MP (DJitD pg18). It can also be spent as described in special abilities, skills etc.

No. A ranged or Magic attack can be made while adjacent. There is no requirement to be further away. The attack is identical to a more distant attack, except that the range requirement is 1, instead of some larger number. Technically it is possible to miss even adjacent attacks due to insufficient range when playing with some expansions (there are several effects that give range penalties, so it is possible to end up with a 0 range on your attack, which is not enough to reach adjacent spaces for a Ranged or Magic attack. Melee attacks simply ignore range entirely though.)

It varies. The OL can spawn only where the heroes do not have LOS, so the fewer heroes in the dungeon, the more locations there are that the OL can spawn. But at the same time heroes in town cannot be affected, so there are advantages both ways.

There is never any need to stay in town. There are purposes to staying in town, and shopping is not the only one.

If a glyph is currently activated it can be used immediately (vanilla rules, ACs are a little bit different). There is no requirement to wait a turn or have someone else use an activate glyph.
Yes, the hero that activates the glyph can use it immediately.

Generally speaking it is unwise for all the heroes to be in town at the same time, because then the OL has free reign to spawn wherever he wants (barring Boggs, of course.) Two heroes can still cover a reasonable amount of LoS (enough to hold a single room for a turn or perhaps two) so they don't need to run back to town because the other tow got killed. They probably don't want to advance either, though. Just hold position, ideally near a glyph, until the other two can rejoin the group.

This is one situation where it's better for the heroes to hold back instead of pressing forward at full speed.

Not really, no. Unless you want to hide for a while for some reason. In general, every turn that passes in the game makes the OL stronger, so the heroes don't want to lollygag in town if they aren't there for some purpose.

If your fighting and have no healing potions or money is it wise to grab it while you can before you go to town so that you do have money to spend. I played my first game last night. After I made my first attack, I was not in position to grab the potions and money due to bad rolling and being cornered where I couldn't reach anything. The overlord also was killing me with good card playing. This game is tough, and I'm always having to go to the rulebook every other minute or come on here. You guys are great. Thanks for your help. I know I'm probably driving you nuts, but there is a lot to remember and study in this game.
