Warhammer 40kRP Armory

By unnownrelic, in Rogue Trader

Once again, many thanks! This is fantastic. aplauso.gif

Long time no update FFG! I come once more, with the updated armory. The current version is 4.13.1205, and includes the latest releases of FFG: First Founding, Book of Judgement, and Black Crusade. There's been a slight change with how I link them as well. You can go to http://www.mediafire.com/armory , which is my armory folder on mediafire. There you can browse old versions, or just grab the latest one straight from the top level. Less links to keep track of and all that. Enjoy!

Awesome Armoury Spreadsheets man! May thee Emperor bless thee in your continued endeavors. ;)

Good evening fellow traders and pirates! I've recently updated the armory with your latest supplement, Hostile Acquisitions! It can be found at www.tiny.cc/40kRP_Armory where you can browse old and new versions of the armory, though the latest one is what you'll be looking for. Enjoy!

Hallowed armourers, I must humbly lodge a question.

Is the armoury no longer available, or is there just something up with tiny.cc? It seems to me that it may be the latter.

I'm in danger of actually getting a game running in a couple of weeks and am trying to get my resources updated.

It just loads a blank page :(

How bizarre! I don't really know why tiny.cc would be giving either of you trouble. It seems to be working just fine for me. Errant's link will put you in the right direction, however, if the tiny one isn't functioning. Thanks Errant!

Are you planning to update with the Black Crusade weapons and tables?

I ask because I think that +10 for a single item (instead of +30) is a fairer representation of what most pc's use.

Also it's a shame that it appears to be missing :P

Edit: I mean the tables for availability and things like that specifically - not the actual Black Crusade Items (which are not missing). This edit is just to be clear for anyone reading this thread.

It is actually there on the page that has all the other modifiers. In retrospect they're rather poorly labeled, so next update I'll have it more clear. You'll have to scroll down a bit to find it.

Does anyone know if unnownrelic is still updating his armory? I mailed him some time ago but never got an answer.

I love this…but just woundering if you ill be updating it with the new Only War weapons and things? i know its not fully out yet but i have the beta and it has some good things.

Thanks again for the Armory!

Well, since unnownrelic wasn't active here for almost two months and didn't answer any mails or messages, I've taken the liberty to continue his work.

I've added Dark Heresy: Disciples of the Dark Gods as a first, which brings Xenotech and Warp Tech with it, including a Hrud weapon, Slaught technology and a twisted Voodoo Doll. Here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?65aai5uy7aqhum6

Contact me if you have any errors to report!

@ unnownrelic : If you ever return, I'll be happy to give full control of the Armory back to you and/or work with you. Until then, the Armory is just too **** useful to let it die.

:D

I believe the strength of the archeotech macrobattery laser is low… it's 4, not 2…

Any chance of the xenos weapons, such as the Gauss Flayers and Gauss Blasters (found in Black Crusade ) of the necrons, or all the tyranid weapons in Deathwatch & Mark of the Xenos will be included? At least, Gauss should be listed amongst the Keywords.

Staravar Laser Macrobattery Into the Storm (ITS)

Yes, I will keep working on that, and - if I'm feeling bold - even try my hand at incorporating Only War into the armory.

The Laser Battery will be corrected with the next release.

I'm not sure if the Necron and Tyranid weapons should be featured in the armory. They are clearly intended for use by NPCs and the armory is more a PC store. Of course, players being players, sooner or later some will use the stuff anyway, but I think they have no place in the Armory.

And thanks for everyone's enthusiasm! :-D

I was mostly thinking that they'd have their own tab, precisely for those reasons; I always considered the Armory a good reference sheet more than anything else.

+1. Nuff said. gran_risa.gif

Huh. Good idea! Though it probably would be two tabs; one for melee, one for ranged.

How would it be called? 'NPC weapons'?

NPC & Adversary Weapons.

And with a clear note that (unless stated otherwise) these weapons have no price/availability, as they cannot normally be obtained (and even if they can, they may not work - especially true in the case of Tyranid weapons).

BYE

I'm also interested in the items in the most recently released books; there is some in the books that just got released in the last three months, right?

Also, someone updated the armory to 4.16.0821, from these forums (or at least, on one of the threads for the 40kRP armory from these forums)…

Edit: Found it, it was in this version of the thread:

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=231&efcid=3&efidt=586728&efpag=0#708380

The newest version (V4.17.0925) is available for download at http://www.mediafire.com/?rrzcb3ir74cib and features Ork, Rak'gol and Stryxis Xeno-tech from Rogue Trader's The Koronus Bestiary.

Now here is the thing: Eldar are featured heavily too, but have no armory in the book. All their equipment is only statted in the NPC write-ups and has no weight, availability or cost. Do you guys still want that featured in the player armory or should it be left for the planned NPC armories? Thsoe were originally planned for Necron and Tyranid weapons, since these aren't usable by others. What do you think?

I'd say that any weapons only available among the NPC write-ups should be in the NPC section of the armory, while those that are available for PC use should still go into the regular, appropriate sections.

Entirely up to you, though, of course. It's bloody awesome that you're doing this at all. :D

I think it would be good to have both a separate tab for NPC Weapons and Armour AND have the ones available of PC use in the regular tabs. Tyranid Weapons would be exclusively in the NPC tab, but things like Tau pulse guns, Stryxis Light and Aether Weapons or the things mentioned under "The Strange and Unhallowed Weapons of the Enemy" tab in Ascension (page 210) could be in both the NPC and PC sections.

I also think it would be convenient to have closely related NPC Weapons and Armour in the same section, so that a GM wouldn't have to switch between several different ones for the same adversary, for example; having the Necrotic Sceptre and the Shroud Cloak under a Slaugth section in the NPC tab for ease of access.

One question I had, are you were planning on bringing in the stats for gear from the published adventures, like the Siege Auspex from Dark Heresy: The Chaos Commandment (page 10) or the Luminous Reproach from the Dark Heresy: Purge the Unclean adventure Shades on Twilight (Page 80), just to name two?

Also, thank you for doing this.
