Blood Angel Assault Marine

By Angerland, in Deathwatch Gamemasters

starting up a character to play in our round robin style game and I am at a loss for the 1000 xp to spend at character creation. I am going back and forth between FrenzyBerzerk Charge (book not here atm, the one that lets me parry while frenzied) or Two weapon wielder melee and balistic. I'm leaning to two weapon wielder as I can get Lightning attack pretty soon but I think Frenzy fits the BA really well.

Any thoughts on how you would spend the 1k?

Angerland, the name of the talent is Battle Rage. The combination is good, and leaves you with 200 xp for one advance in S, WS or Ag.

Another good possibility is the Furious Assult (600 xp, but lets you use your reaction for another attack ifr you pass a WS test in a All-Out-Attack action) With the remaining 400 xp you could take frenzy, or two first advances in the previously mentioned atributes. If you are leaning to the Battle rage take the frenzy.

Any way, just a sugestion. Good game for you.

Flesh Render works well to, for a modest 500xp. Great with the starting chainsword, and works with lightning claws as well. If you can contrive it (and have the supplement), some Mk6 Corvus armour (with agility bonus) goes down well.

Of course this is just my personal preference but two-weapon wielder(ballistic) would be bad ass since two bolt-pistols would totally ruin the day of any close combat enemy and look cool while doing it... later you could get two plasma pistol for total carnage...

Hence why my Space Wolf Assault did just that! Dual wielding FTW!

A Blood Angel IMO should go after the Assassin Strike Talent early on, it's a good tactic and they can get it much sooner (at character creation I believe) than any other Assault Marine.

Honestly a purchase my Blood Angel Assault Marine player made was a signature piece of wargear.......a wrist mounted pistol. Granted it didn't allow him to chew through enemies in close combat as well as most, but it did allow him multiple options for both close combat and ranged.
