Three player game

By Tonyfr, in Tannhauser

My daughter and her boyfriend are coming over to learn and play a game of Tannhauser. I figure they will be one side and I the opposing force. Does anyone have an opinion regarding if one side easier to learn or one side funner to play? Also, any preference on which side of the map in the core game?

Personally I play the Union, and for the most part they're easier to understand i.e. go here, shot big gun, done.

But if you want fun, evil is always more fun then the good guys, I mean how much more interesting is a Stosstruppen compaired to a Commando Delta.

So I guess the answer depends on their level of gaming experience; if you think they'll catch on quick, then give 'em the Reich and let go to town, but if your worried about the learning curve tell them to go Union.

Ps. It's always good to let people have a choice so tell them the Union is a bit easier to play, but let them pick which faction to play.

Thanks I will do that. My daughter is experience gamer but I am not sure about her boyfriend.
