Alright, just constructed a new deck for House Martell. The overall feel of the deck is that I attack with stealth, and it does bad stuff to the opponent in an attempt to prevent retaliation (like the Lost Oasis, which kneels characters bypassed by stealth, or the poisoned dagger which can discard characters bypassed by stealth).
Unfortunately, the way is currently constructed, I have almost no gold production. This is ok since i have no characters costing mre than 4. To help with that, I am running plots like City of Sin, to kneel the opposing characters, or Fear of Winter, which prevents all players from playing more than one card from their hand (I usually only play one or two anyways...).
Here are the plots I am currently Running (sorry I don't know how to link yet): Fear of Winter, Retalliation, Let My Porridge Fly, City of Lies, City of Spies, City of Secrets, City of Sin.
I am looking for good ideas for plots I should run. I like having high claim values ( to take full advantage of stealth, killing enemies, dropping their hand, etc...) for which I have the Fear of Winter (2/4/2) and Retalliation (4/8/2). The only problem with Retalliation is that I have to give up initiative to an opponent. A lot of my tricks require me to attack first to have effect (the daggers and the Oases do no good if they have already attacked). So I am torn. I like the claim costs, but I need the initiative. Also, plots like City of Spiders would be great, except a deck that already has a lack of gold production can not afford a turn with no Gold... Am I just wanting to have my cake and eat it too? Or is there a way to balance this out properly for my deck. I would like at least two plots with claim 2. I would like to win initiative more often than not, and rarely drop my gold below 3...
