I applied to run mine last month but haven't had an acknowledgement or reply yet - has anyone else heard anything?
I'm planning to e-mail FFG anyway, I just wondered if anyone else has had the same experience?

Exact same boat Ross - I've heard nothing at all. I emailed Paul on Thursday (poosibly Friday) so am awaiting to hear back
so has anyone heard anything yet ?? these are to regionals i want to go too lol
Can I get a rough idea of when everyone's going to be holding theirs so that I know when to hold mine?
I want to be able to go around everyone else so that we get the maximum amount of players for each regional without everyone putting themselves out money-wise to travel all over the country in the space of a month or two.
I was hoping to hold mine in early March if thats possible, but if applications have already been made around then, I'll have to change plans. But if they haven't, I'd like to run mine on the second weekend of March.
Thanks in advance, Joe x
So far FFG have received three requests for Regionals, Patriot Games in Sheffield, Phoenix Games In Leicester and Clifton Road Games in Exeter. I know Ross is planning Patriot's event for April and Phoenix Games' event is last weekend in February, 28th/1st. I'm not sure when Clifton Road' sis planned for. As long as Exeter isn't in March I can't see a reason why you couldn't run in March Joe, but if you can let me double check with Dave or the the shop that would be cool.
I applied for February 21st. I've had no confirmation yet on whether this has been accepted or not.
This does seem very close to Patriots on the 28th so i'm happy to move the date.
I'd just like some info on acceptance or not!
Okay, discussed it with Steve and my Regionals will be held on March 14th in Exeter.
I'll sort out the final details etc later!
Ok, well if Ross' is in the second week or later in April, I'll probably hold mine in the last week of March. Once I get my venue sorted, I'll apply and be done with it

You should hear back next week, sorry for the delay. I hope everyone has fun at the event.
Cheers,
Steve
i asume that u are still planning on holding the final one mr steve
Yup, at the minute it is loosely pencilled in for June 28th in Alton, so not at the Games Shop. The t shirts for the event are already being designed, and working on a one price for entry and lunch type thang.
For those who wish to make a weekend of it I will probably still run my usual events at the Games Shop too.
The main date I applied for was the weekend of 25/26 April, my alternative weekend was 11/12 April. I'll let you know when I have confirmation.
Our Regional will be 1st March 2009 as discussed with Steve, we are still awaiting confirmation but thats the date we will be going with!
Phoenix Games
51 Church Gate
Leicester
LE1 3AL
Registration from 11.00
1st round 11.30
If any one is planning on making the journey to the midlands let us know. we do have a few single cards available on the day but if you place an order on the website it will be ready for you when you get there.
Chris
Hi chris,
just checked your website and still cant see anything to do with the regional being held at your store.
is this due to not getting confirmation yet or something else.
i would like to put my name down for it if you are taking reservations for it as do alot of my friends from coventry and smethwick.
please post here if you do need names and have definetly sorted it all out.
p.s is this tourny going to be block 3 only as well??????

Sorry if I missed the post, but I can't seem to find anywhere whether or not this will be a block 2 or block 3 tournament, could you give me an answer please?
Steve,
Do you know if helston can run one yet??
Thanks
Daniel
hi guys/gals,
i just spoke to chris at phoenix games and he has confirmed that the regional is on but is still waiting for prize support to be sent from america.
dont worry about the what it says on the phoenix games website about a magic the gathering tourny as it is wrong.
also the tourny will be block 2 so all tri symbol cards are legal for it.
hopefully we have a great turnout and see alot of people having fun.
c u all there

Glad to hear the Phoenix Games regionals is still on.
Is it still slated for March 1st?
Also, to confirm, will this Regionals be taking place on a Sunday? It's not so bad getting there from Nottingham, but I know that at least from Sheffield, rail travel is far easier on a Saturday than a Sunday.

Have you applied to run one? I haven't heard anything from Paul as yet, if you applied let me know, otherwise I'd start there.
Hi guys, sorry to be a pain, but is there a list now of confirmed events? Juts having a bit of trouble deciphering the thread (Old Eyes!) and pulling out the definites from the maybes.
Also, does anyone think March may be a bit overloaded? If I got at least this right, thee are two Regionals, the Pre-release and possible late Void patch tournies all in March. No flames please, just making an observation!
Cheers folks!

As far as my old brain can remember I think it goes a little something like this:
March 1st - Phoenix Games, Leicester.
March 14th - Clifton Road Games, Exeter.
April 25th - Patriot Games, Sheffield.
June 28th - River Wey, Alton.
The only event that I say for sure would be added to that list would be the other South East Event in Colchester. I had expected there to be one in Scotland also, one of the Glasgow scouts assured me that they could get enough players, but I haven't heard anything about that either. There is also the option to have a second Midlands event, GamesExpo was mentioned, but no one has volunteered to do that as yet.
If you have heard anything about a prerelease for Set 12 then you are better informed than me, I do kind of expect it to happen, just like I expect FFG to reply to my emails, but it doesn't mean it will happen. Now before anyone goes all doom and gloom on me I AM NOT SAYING THAT THERE WILL BE NO PRERELEASES! Just saying I haven't heard anything about them as yet.
March is only as busy as you want it to be dude, people will go to the amount of events they can afford to. For me I'll probably make the trip to Exeter, try to get up to Leicester and run my usual last Saturday event, unless there is a prerelease and then I'll run that on the Sunday.
