Let me just say first that I'm glad cards like these were included in the game. However, I find it strange that it just so happens that always the unit you want most to break down, run out of fuel, suffer from frostbite etc. is (almost) always the unit of your choice. It would have made more sense to have (variations of) these cards as "op-cards" rather than as strategy cards. For example, roll a die at the beginning of your action phase for each (German) vehicle on the board. On a roll of six the unit runs out of fuel. Fatigue it immediately. Then it's more or less random which vehicle(s) will be affected. Now it's a bit too gamey to my taste.
PS: I do still miss a winter weather deck.
