I played as part of a small group in the uk (ex AT-43 players). Does anyone else in the uk actually play this game (and use the forum as if to state the obvious)? Are there any events being arranged?
Uk Players?
Sorry mate, but i did up my allies as UK...
Just posted em up on the forum.
Yup, I'm down in the South East in Medway, Kent - you?
Glasgow.
We're getting a small community together up here, but apart from an upcoming demo day in Static games, nothing big planned until we drum up more numbers and generate more links between existing players.
I've got 5 at the moment and one of those is me!!
Portsmouth.... its a bit far to go for a game!
I've now got 6 players in Glasgow.
It's still too far to go for a game in Portsmouth, or Kent though. Sorry
I'm just outside Glasgow and I think am one of the six that Tom referred to. A few of us used to travel to Manchester for Hell Dorado Tournaments so us gamers can be quite intrepid when we want to be...
Ron
Hi Ron.
Guess I was talking about you. Going to Static today about our Demo day. Get back to you later on,
Tom
i havent used it myself , but might i suggest allowing the BoardGameGeek.com player data base on your profile (if you have one ) it would allow you or other players to look each other up to find local players to play with .
BGG has 353 listed woners for the game , and some of them are in the UK .

Kris, do you mean allow them onto my blog, or FFG profile mate? Sorry. Don't have much experience with BGG.
BGG has a setting that if you have an account , you can find and be found by local gamers . so it would let you look up local gamers for the games you play and contact each other through their site .
i really suggest everyone open a BGG account , its free , a great game resource , they dont spam or sell you to other sites , and its HUGELY helpful as a community . each game has its own page there with user submitted pictures , files , forums , statistics , auctions , users selling games , etc.......... they have tens of thousands of users around the globe , and something like 30,000 games in their directory , as opposed to game specific sites like a 40K fan site , or a LOTR fan site where you just have a few games .
you can even use their trade matcher once you have uploaded your collection of games you want to trade , and want to recieve in trade , it will match you up with people (if there are any ).that have games in their trade collection that you want , and want games you are trading . its all free (except for users direct selling games on the site , its something like a 2 or 3 % cost , which is cheaper than anywhere else ) , they make money off donations , as well as clickthrough ad revenues from game companies and ebay to make the money to keep the site up and running . they do have a premium membership for those wanting to pay for one , it has a few perks , but back when they started the premium memberships a year or so ago , i didnt see the point , none of the new stuff it offered was anything i had an interest in using since i am a "gamer" , but the premium services were for that special breed of gamer that goes wayYYYYYYYYYYYY beyond even my interest in games .
pretty much every site you go to with forums lets you look up a user profile , but at BGG , you can look up so much more , and see all kinds of cool pics they have uploaded to their gallery and what they have contributed .
i just mailed out a trade yesterday to another user who wanted my necromunda stuff for a copy of dark futures , thunder road , and 3 figures (2 walkers and a unit of kolossi ) that i will use for my next custome unit build . didnt cost me a thing other than postage , and the have rating tools so you can see if the person you traded with is on the up and up or screwed some one over .
beyond just the openess of the site , its also easier to use since you can upload pics , files , post forum posts , blog , etc .......
and a while back , they began their other site tiieins , same site type , same use rules , etc , but they now also have VGG(videogamegeek) for video gamers .
if it wasnt for BGG , i never would have found DT .
actually , if it wasnt for BGG , i never would have found all the games that are now my favorite , they all came about from either first finding them on BGG , or getting them in trades through BGG .
Hi
I'm down in Surrey. At the minute there is just my friend and myself playing. I'm looking for people to play with but we don't have a independent gaming store for support. It's a bit rubbish.

You're about 1 1/2 hours/60 miles from me in Kent, you have a store a few mins away www.thegamersguild.co.uk/ My mate who goes in as he works in the area says they don't stock Dust though.

Turns out they are only 12.8 miles away from me, according to google. I shall check them out. But if they are not playing dust....
Obviously about six months late to reply, but here goes nothing...
@Winter79 whereabouts are you based? Am also interested in the other game you speak of (but don't want to annoy FFG by mentioning it).
@ Commander Dust, have tried to friend you or whatever to get in contact. Also in Surrey, so there's potential to get games in.
@Panzerfaust Portsmouth may be a trek, but I'm in Guildford a lot of the time and trains there are pretty frequent. If there's a gaming club in the area may be crazy enough to travel down.
Hi to all Dust or any other of the many Weird War 2 gamers, I`m out in the country, in the midlands area of shropshire. Good job I picked Dust because" I LIKE IT" and in particular its Walkers, as I`m finding it hard to find players .In all my long years, I can`t remember a game with as much quality as this being so badly received by U.K .players or such a negative response being shown to the miniatures. My wife and myself think all we can do is to adapt some of our boards and then try a participation demo game at one of next years midland shows, if they will allow us to enter a Dust game.It worked for other games in the past. Any way "here`s to all Dust Players every where in the U.K. ,or over seas, at least we have a good Forum, Hopefuly friendships will be made here.
Im the president of the Aftermath Gaming Club, can be found in google if you type just that.
We have around 10 players at the moment and with a club of 40 I hope more will join, most are waiting to see what Warfare is like.
We are based in East Anglia, Norwich.
FFG neglects Europe much to its massive loss this is why GW dominates over here and always will, no other strong competition really.
