Tell me about the advenuters you are having!

By MagnusSeter, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hi!

I've started preparing for WFRP again, and thought it would be interesting to hear about the kind of adventures you all are having. Not the name of the adventures (but feel free to name them as well), but more like the type of adventure.

Are they heavy on NPCs?

Do you talk to the people/monsters/litte voices in your head or do you combat them all?

Are you adventuring in the forest or the city?

Is treasure an important part of your adventuring?

Things like that. I'm thinking of writing an adventure of my own, and I would like to know what you people are playing.

Cheers!

Well we are having a very even spread of rural urban adventure wise, session wise though the longer adventures occur in the cities. We are combat heavy as we have a troll slayer and a bright wizard in the party so we need to throw numbers at them to make them break a sweat. We mainly play custom scenarios which are heavily npc driven, (but the social encounters are simple to count for the lack of fellowship) it mainly plays out a series of long exchanges between several npc culminating in one big massive fight so while combat is massive the occurence is low but when they happen they really happen.

Treasure hasn't really played a big deal but money is what drives the group into questing so they are always keen for a job which pays well. Chaos and beastmen are the major enemies in our adventures, only one out of 3 adventures contained non chaos related enemies (it was a merchant intrigue/power struggle where regular humans where being evil without the excuse of corrupting forces) but thats mainly because our adventures a centred in Altdorf or Middenland. Ideally I'd like to add variety but we need to shift our parties geographical emphasis to allow for diversity, we play the same characters throughout each adventure as part of a story arch.

We have loaded up the last adventure (run by me as GM) on the below address, and we shift GM roles each adventure. We'll be updating it regularly with new adventures as well. Perhaps it will give you some ideas :) We are by no means proffesional roleplayers and are quite new to it but we like storytelling and character development but none of us have the skill or motivation to write a novel so this is the next best thing!
