Everyone I show the bots to alway's prefer the German mechs over the Allies (talking looks here, not ability) The Allied walkers are growing on me the more I look at them though. Do you find the same to?

Yup, I find the same thing when I bring the game to the store. German mechs are considered cool US mechs are considered homely.

I think that reflects history pretty well. Take half-tracks for example. Germany's had slopes and angles and looked pretty sweet, but had lots of mechanical problems and were hard to build, where as the US half-track was very utilitarian (cough..ugly..cough) but easy to make, repair, and maintain.

All in all I like the Allied ones myself. Not so much the Mickey, but I really like the new Allied light walkers.

The allied bots are what got me into the allies in the first place. an AT-AT married with a Sherman? yes,please!

i had expected it to be that way , but i have found that most people have prefered to play the americans in demos .

Axis bots for me. In fact, Axis models all round!

For looks, I agree that the Axis just look sweeet. Now before I even heard of "Dust Tactics" if you were to have told me the names of the units I would SO go with the Allies (sorry, but BBQ Squad and Hot Dog, we have a winner). I love the play on words as it has brung more than a smile or two on faces when I tell them the name of the squads.

I prefer the axis walkers appearence but prefer allies walkers abilities . Both my sons like to use hotdog for the allies and luther for the axis.

The Axis walkers are what drew me to the game.

I like the Axis and Allied medium walkers about the same, I REALLY like the Axis light walker, but the Allied light walker doesn't do a lot for me.

Appearance I like the Honey. rules def the mickey.

I really like the look of the KV47s and Otto. Overall I like all of them asthetically so far and there arent really any designs that Im personally like meh to.

German light walkers are really neat, I must agree. Now, I couldn't tell which, of the Heinreich or the Hermann, has my preference ...

I reaaly like both of my Sino-Soviet mechs. The KV-47 is pretty cool. I have mine about half-way assembled and I am working out how to magnitize the different weapon options that it comes with. I hope they are released sometime before the end of the year, so that I can get some stats for them.

I´ve said it once, and I´ll say it a million times...Frog legged Shermans are irresistible to me!

Maybe I could say they led me into the game...them AND the Recon Grenadiers, I just couldn´t stop seeing these in my mind´s eye until I got my starter box...

Definitely, the axis troops have better looks, and the walkers look just great, but I love my POUNDER. That and playing way TOO many times the "COMBAT!" WW2 series lured me inevitably to the allied side.

Major, I think this subject definitely deserves a FB DT FanGroup Poll...

I also like the look of the axis walkers better than allied.. allied looks like they just took a regular old tank and gave it legs. Axis looks more like they designed it from the ground up. I love the look of the Ludwig with the 2 big cannons, but also for the Soviets the Fury of Ivan looks really great too. I guess I just like the ones that have big guns

unoffical bots i would say barking dog is my favorite, but as i said before axis bots look awesome but allies have better abilities.

Not much of a bot person, only use 3 or 4 in the game just to balance against the opponent. Im more into the infantry. Though if they ever release the Kriegrobot from the Dust Sourcebook then I will have a better answer. That and the Otto looks cool.

But for now, I would have to say Laser Grenadiers and Gorillas.
