Are you raising your threat by the number which you failed to quest by? I shudder to think what would happen to my threat if I didn't quest the first turn (At least +3). That is the number one reason I can't beat the first senario with the Tactics deck.

Yes I did. While your threat rating will rise quite a bit in this first round, there's a good chance it will never rise again except by 1 at the end of your turn.

I don't get how you can keep the threat so low without Questing? Are you including the threat rating of non-active locations in the threat tally of the staging area? Unless you travel and/or quest, locations are likely to make the threat rise significantly.

Granted treachery cards don't increase threat and sometimes i am actually glad to see them turn up...

In every following round I do go adventuring and unless I'm unlucky I will never have to worry about threat again. Try it out, it works!

Look, I don't send anyone adventuring in the first round only. This means threat will rise about five points. Since all of the heroes are free to act it's easy to kill the forest spider in the first round this way.

Ah ok, first round only. That makes sense.

I do quest but normally only with one hero, but then travel to old forest road, which allows me to ready the hero i quested with so i still have 3 heroes facing the spider.

Once you understand how the first scenario will play out it actually is fairly easy. None of the enemies are all that strong and you can move along fairly easy. However the other adventures are vastly tougher and you can run into a serious issue once a nasty enemy hits the table. It's still a very entertaining and immensly challenging game.

I played it solo and it`s great. I love it.
