I'm really intrigued by all this posting about how to theoretically create FSMs...
...given that GW says there have been several unsuccesful attempts, and that in my current DW campaign one of the NPC characters is the first successful FSM (with all the responsibilities and charges of being heresy that involves). In case you're wondering what my logic was in defying standard Warhammer 40k canon to make her - a) I really liked the idea, because we've got a seriously 'Burn the Heretic' BT in my KT and I wanted to see him squirm, b) Given how many Radical Inquisitors/Magi there are, how long would it take before one got the idea of increasing the galaxy's main defences twofold? and c) it would probably work eventually after a lot of fiddling and xenos tech because XX and XY aren't really incompatible or that different. I mean, we've got a race who build tunnels through other universes (the Webway), two races of constantly genetically changing aliens, and some metal bastards who've got processing power in their brains Bill Gates would sell his soul for, and probably has. Why wouldn't there be an eventual 'success'? Of course there'd be issues (oh boyo are there issues), but **** the sexist Imperium.
