Multiple actions like attacks and such

By Hrathen, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

Anima has all sorts of rules that talk about taking more than one action. For example if you want to take your full move and attack, you have to take a penalty on your attack.

Or if you have over 100 in your attack rank you can take a -25 pen and take an extra attack.

These are just the most basic ones. There are more rules for thrown weapons or if you have two weapons or even two weapons and ambidextarious.

But last night I found a table that talked about maximum number of actions you could take on your turn and it was dictated by dex. You pretty much need a 11 dex if you want to take more than one action; that's super human level dex.

So Should I just ignore all those rules for taking more than one action unless my players get a dex above 10, or am I miss reading the rules.

I believe that maximum actions is based on the sum of both agility and dexterity, not just agility. Most players will have 2 or 3 actions they can perform per turn. Also understand that being able to make multiple attacks is completely unrelated to being able to take multiple actions.

I looked at the book and you are right.

Thank you.

And you're not really supposed to do multiples of the same action in one turn, like attacks, unless you have a special quality that allows for it, like wielding two weapons or sweeping attacks. The rules stated that passive actions can happen at any time during a round, which to my mind (and luckily my players never adopted this) could mean moving away from an opponent any time they drew near enough to attack. I just picture everyone with their hands on their minis constantly scooting around the board, and this is why I think they put in the limit of using each type of passive action only once per round.
