Card of the Week gives Targ Draw a Boost

By Darksbane, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Absolutley - Targ is one of the two Summer Houses and this just synergizes well with so much. I think this actually supplants a couple fo toher attachments - the priority would be Flame Kissed then Shade, I think. The draw engine will get you whatever else you need. And yeah - Summer Warlock and remember - we are getting something called Spending the Winter Stores. Even if its not a straight reprint (which i very mcuh doubt it will be) if it is any sort of attahcment search - that kicks up the consistency a notch.

The Icon additions that this attachment provides should not be overlooked. It can provide some incredible resiliency against common icon control cards played by a Martell player like Orphan of the Greenblood and Prince's Wrath

I obviously should have mentioned Summer builds too. Since Shade gets a bonus in Summer perhaps we can expect some other Summer effects/bonuses in the rest of the Targ box. I also agree that 1-2x copies seems right if players do plan on running it.

I have considered the icon gain. It's definitely nice, but I'd like to see a few more good and strong (3 STR or higher) characters to play it on first. Again, if Targ gets access to a better character base and more efficient resources, I'll like this card (and a lot of other Targ cards) much more.

I think what jumped out at me most about the card was its breadth of boons. It grants all 3 icons. It gives card advantage. It bypasses the draw cap. It reorders the top of your deck.

~Now, if only Targ could get City of Bones reprinted.

It's definitely very appealing, I don't deny that.

~Why wait for a reprint when you can run Dragon Chaser and Support of Harlaw?

Hmmm... the two of those together are actually a little bit awesome.
