very newbie questions

1)when a players opens a door, do i reveal the entire area? also monsters out of his sight? or do i reveal them only when they can be seen?

2)when do i have to discard OL cards, before or after drawing? i.e., if i have a hand of 8, do i draw 2 and than choose what to discard, or do i simply discard the 2 cards INSTEAD of drawing them?

3)are hero orders visible to the OL ? i mean, does the overlord know what order the hero is reading? it would be better if he doesn't know, but i don't understand it from the manual.

When a new area is open it is revealed in its entirety. All monsters, obstacles, props are there for everyone to see even if their figures do not have line of site to all of it as of yet.

You draw your cards and discard down to your maximum hand size.

Hero orders are visible to the overlord, the tokens go face up on the board by that Hero's figure for all to see.

other 2 questions:

1)can a hero pass between 2 diagonally near obstacles?

2)are pierce,explosion etc. istances cumulative? i.e. if i have a weapon that says power sourge: pierce2, if i pay it twice, do i get pierce 4?

Yes.

Yes. Abilities with a rank (marked by a number after the ability name) are always cumulative. Command even stacks on a figure if it is in within the area of two or more commands from different "Commanders". A bit confusing might be Aura: Aura 2 means that a figure moving into the Aura space gets two damage. The radius of the ability is not increased.

in the campaign,between a doungeon and the next one, do i reshuffle all the cards in the overlord deck, or do i use the same deck until i discard all the cards? i'm asking this because i can't believe the only way to get conquest points is by killing the heroes.

Yes, though not between dungeon levels.

The first thing you do every week (except for checking to see if the campaign has progressed a level) is get free CT. Step 1.

But most of your CT should come from killing heroes.
