Weird literature

By Galaahd, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Other than HPL I've also read all of R.E. Howard's stuff, some C.A. Smith, some by Carl Jacobi. I love William Hope Hodgson and Algernon Blackwood and have just started "The King in Yellow" by Robert W. Chambers. As for the Cthulhu Mythos stuff, I own some books by Brian Lumley but I still have to read them.

What about you?

Suggestions for further readings are welcome, especially for Mythos anthologies not by HPL.

Ramsey Campbell's tales, or those that I've read, are good.

So you're reading The King in Yellow ? Prepare to be disappointed after the 4th story (or so). Except "The Green Room" which is awesome.

The Children of Cthulhu, Cthulhu 2000, The New Lovecraft Circle, Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos, Cthulhu's Reign, the Mask of Cthulhu. All mythos anthologies not by Lovecraft. The Children of Cthulhu is probably best in my opinion, but you can find decent stuff throughout.

All contain hits and misses. I find that a lot of reading new Mythos based stuff consists of slogging through the fair and terrible to get to the rare gems. Happy hunting!
