They Came Outta Nowhere - Yog/Cthulhu deck

By player437881, in Call of Cthulhu Deck Construction

At last, life finally allowed me to spend a little time looking at the cards and so I present for your criticism/advice my newest deck. Know that I'm a fairly casual player hoping to improve my gameplay (not easy when noone around you plays this game), and the communities' thoughts are, for me, a great way to do so.

Yog-Sothoth Characters:

3 The Sleepwalker
2 Cthuga
3 Intruder from Beyond
3 Stalking Hound
3 Forgotten Shoggoth
3 Disciple of the Gate
3 Faceless Abductor

Yog-Sothoth Spells and Support:

2 Opening the Limbo Gate
2 Speak to the Dead
2 All are One

3 Things in the Ground
3 Cursed Skull

Cthulhu Characters:

3 Terror of the Tides
2 Julia Brown
3 Dreamlands Fanatic
2 Ravager from the Deep

Cthulhu Spells:

3 Deep One Assault
3 Sacrificial Offerings

Neutral:

2 The Yuggoth Contract

Main thought process:

Characters bouncing in fairly quickly thanks to Things in the Ground, no cost characters and Limbo Gate. A little combo with Julia Brown + F. Shoggoth to screen the deck fairly fast (Yuggoth Contract also helps). A tiny hint of destruction to help you from getting overwhelmed.

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not sure the Ravager is doing a lot here. It's a great card, but it wasn't in my plans to add it at first. Only 2 big ones (Cthuga and T. Tides) could also mean a lack of punch in mid-to-end game.

Try replacing the Ravagers with Deep One Rising perhaps?
