Long opening theme is still too long. Adds nothing to the podcast.
When you ask a guest a question, and he answers it, don't ask him the same question over again.
Stop comparing everything to STG. It's dead. Let it be.
Having podcast released after POTM flyer was released weeks ago is making a great deal of of it seem really redundant and a waste of time.
Not having hosts turn off their various background noises is distracting, and annoying
When your guest says "I can't really say anything about that." Leave him alone, stop digging.
Too many cooks in the Kitchen... especially when information has to be repeated 3 times because someone didn't hear.
When your guest has had to say 5 Times "I really can't say anything about that." and the host keeps digging responding with "Oh... that's all you had to say" seems really disingenuous.
When your last guest says that "Sets with starter will be 8 characters, sets that are Boosters will be 5 characters" Listen to what that guest says. There's no need to keep dragging it out. You want us to listen to your podcasts. Listen to your own podcasts.
Listen to what your guest says. When he's already answered your question, don't ask him the same question differently.
Sorry guys... but Please respect your listeners. The 45 minutes that this podcast run was too long, and the new material that was covered in this could have been done in 20-25 minutes, or less.
1) yes opening theme is kinda cool... but should last no more than 10 seconds as an intro, NO MORE.
2) agreed in the court of law this would be refered to as BADGERING, no badgering your guests.
3) agreed
4) dont think this was their call Brian, Jeremy posted it up at that time, might have been due to the fact that Mt. Do is now doing all the HARD editiing work and it's taking him a while.
5) YES PLEASE TURN OFF ANY BACKGROUND NOISES, talking to BOTH the HOSTS and the GUESTS, i remember back in either episode 3 or 4 HEARING random noises from parents in the background yelling(understandable), but having kids randomly come up and yell in the mic isnt cool either, nor is SHUFFLING your deck in front of the mic...
6) see the Badgering comment
7) Agreed, Mainly towards Chris and Scott, you two have a VERY bad habit of talking over Edwin and Surriel when they have a legit question by digging more into soemthing that was answered, please when it is an interview and not a card/resource discussion LET EVERYONE have their say, even if it means taking mandatory turns.
8) again badgering
9) agreed, listen to your guest CLOSELY, he shouldnt have to repeat himself unless his/her phone/mic dropped in volume or random noise happened on their end.
10) agreed
11) Actually i DIS-agree, the longer the better for me, sometimes hearing someone make a rear out of them self is fun but also geting a lot of info in 30-45 minutes is also good, as long as they dont get upwards of 2hrs long like episode 4 did way back when...
N.J.
, but overall it was really informative. Its nice to here about other metas and other decks from different areas.
also its wasn't always so easy to win, especially when there is such a large volume of $1500 decks, anyone can sack you. I played at Nationals last year with 647 other people, I came in like 5th or 6th, so to me thats a big accomplishment. I just started playing UFS just late last summer, and I love it. I also get pumped about new sets. The point I'm making is that UFS is an exciting game, and overall has a network of some cool people. So it has an unlimited amount of potential, it will continue to grow as long as we stay connected to spread ideas throughout the UFS community.
