Dust Blog

By Redordead, in Dust Tactics

Hi folks.

Just wanted to drop the details of my blog for anyone who's interested. I've posted some pictures of painted Dust minis and a couple of battle reports that might interest people who are on the fence about committing to this great game. I hope you'll come and visit and please, feel free to leave any comments:

Excellent, an enjoyable read, read all of it. It's a pity there are no active mods on this site to sticky a list of blogs and fan sites for all to find.

Congrats on the blog! And thanx for sharing

Thanks very much folks!

We began the campaign properly last night; taking notes and photographs, so future battles will be much more detailed! Nearly finished my recon boys, so once I pluck up the courage to paint my robots, I'll be good to go for fully painted battle reports.

Looks like I'm going to need all the new troop expansions to manage a decent game of cyclone though and they don't arrive in Scotland until the end of April, or early March :(

It's going to be a loooooong month...

I'm with you there Red, I'm in UK too and it seems an eternity waiting for new stuff.

Agony mate.

The more I play this game, the more I want to play it! Been wargaming for 18 years and haven't been this excited about new releases since I took up warmachine. I have no doubt that my love affair with Dust Tactics will last longer, however ;)

Going to run a demo in my local store, (Static games in Glasgow) in two weeks time. Almost got the boxed set finished, just the heroes, robots, 2 squads and the terrain.

Actually, when I think about it I'm not nearly finished at all.

;)

when you find a game you love , are you ever REALLLLLLLLY done working on it ?

DUST IS WAR !!!!!

Good point!

;)

I've updated my blog btw. Another battle report although I warn you: It's very tongue in cheek!

The second report from the campaign will be much more of a blow by blow account.

Second battle report up now.

Grainy photos and insufferable whittering abounds.

Great blog! One question- who makes the "smoke wash"? Is this a product you can buy or something you made? I make magic wash in all sorts of colors fro various purposes- was'nt sure if this was your invention or a store bought product.

Hi matey.

It's a Vallejo model colours product. You can pick them up online individually, but any good model/games shop should have them. The bottles make them perfect for airburshing and the colours are really smooth. Cheaper than citadel paints and you get more for your money. I think they have a bigger range, too, but I can say that they're much better suited to historical modelling/painting than the GW alternative, (which are still great paints in their own right.).

Scenario 3 of our campaign is up on the blog folks. Apologies for the delay.

This one won't be as detailed as previous entries, but there are a lot more photographs as well as a shocking insight into the post-battle relaxation practices of Bazooka Joe...

If you think waiting for stuff in UK is bad, wait till you come to Singapore! By the way, enjoying Dust Tactics alot! Can't seem to get enough of it :)
