Parrying attacks made at your allies

By Darth Smeg, in Deathwatch

Is there a talent or piece of gear that lets you parry blows made against your brothers in arms standing beside you? I seem to recall having read something about it, but apart from the Stormwardens Defensive stance, I can find nothing. This stance also refers to a storm shield, but I can find no mention of shields at all in the Armory.

Advice?

In the DH Ascension book, the Crusader gets this ability, but I don't recall it in the DW book.

The Storm Shield probably means Thunder Shield, although I don't have a book on hand in order to check context.

There's also the squad pattern that allows players to 'trade' reactions between them. It doesn't let you parry for another, but it lets you give your parry to another.

Eh?

Combat shields, Storm shields and Iron Halo's are all described in the armoury P166-167.

No: It means Storm Shield. I haven't had enough coffee.

It's in the armoury section.

I'm also not convinced it would be game-breaking to allow it as a default option, I mean it'd still count as your reaction for the round and it would make thematic sense.

If you think it would be overpowered you could allow people to spend a Fate Point to do it?

In Ascension there is the Guardian Talent.
I'm not sure if it's in DW, too.

Just equip the purple Materia "Cover" and you should be set.
