Hi! Can't get what does it mean
Use of the Suppressing Fire Action does not affect the defensive benefits of armour or cover.
Can an1 explain this to me?

Near as I can tell it means that a target's armour points provided by armour and by cover are not lowered when someone uses suppressive fire against that target. (Though I can't see why anyone would think that it would.) But if I'm wrong, I've got nothing.
So do I. This makes no sense...
i believe that it means, as suppressive fire is a random burst of unaimed shots( more or less), good quality armour doesn't get the +1 on the first hit.
christ alone knows if i'm actually right. my grammar may be good, but i can be incredably dense at times
Tnx for suggestions.
I ve been thinking alot about this and here is what I'vr got:
May be it means, that no matter how heavy you are armoured and no matter, that all bullets soaked by cover, you are still affected by Suppresive fire effect.
But it's still unclear.

Honestly, to me, it sounds like a useless reminder. it says "use of the suppressing fire action does not affect the defensive benefits of armour or cover"
Meaning that just because you are useing the "suppressing fire" action, everyone wearing armour or taking cover still get whatever they would have normally gotten. Supressing fire doesn't adversly affect the armour or cover.
Now this makes no sense because I don't think that anything said, anyware, that it would.
It's also in the paragraph about assigning hits, and the lasts sentances talks about assigning hits in a way that would be slower.
I think that sentance was suppose to be about how the gm's randomly assigned hits are suppose to still be affected by armor or cover....
