A little help, please... Regarding the "new" books

By KjetilKverndokken, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I have the starting box and the "players" kit or whatever it is called. But me and my group fell of the interest of playing warhammer and we kind of lost track of the upcoming products.

Now I see there are three books out if one wants to use them instead of card etc etc. But i have heard rumors of that the books contain more then the core box? Is that true?, does the players guide have more careers, the magic from the magic box and so forth?

It seems cheaper to buy the books then buying all the small boxes, firstly, because the boxes gets a tax when they get shipped to Norway, but books dont get taxed....

Yes, the books contain data from the winds of magic, signs of faith and more. Data meaning: action cards, traits, general rules (mutation, corruption, etc.) - What you miss are the nuanced rules (on Warpstone for example), the flavor details and background info, and the adventures that come with the respective boxes.

If you've got the core box, players guide, and the creature guide, you're set to get started. You will have happy players when they have ALL of those careers in the Player's Guide..and happy players is where its at.

Good to know, because then i can invest in the pdf.

is the Gamemasters Guide book worth it, what extra does it contain?

Sorry bout asking this, but the official info on the books dont give me any insight on them.

the specifics (that I can recall) that are included in the GM Guide are rules around diseases and corruption.
