Aquila Down: 40K Roleplay Powered by WFRP3

By schoon, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I was so impressed by the WFRP3 system, that I knew right away that I had to adapt it to 40K.

So I created the Kriegshammer site in the anticipation of doing so - though sadly this has been only fitfully updated (keeping parallel HTML and Word files is a pain in the...)

However, I've been making real progress recently, and have my first "trial" game at KublaCon in late May.

Just do an Event Search for Aquila Down for a teaser.

I'm sticking with iconic PCs for this run, with the bonus of an Ogryn character to add some spice.

If anyone's around the San Francisco Bay Area for the con, I guarantee that I'll make it fun!

Sounds interesting.

Does Warhammer 40k not use a similar system to WFRP 3e already? (I just got into WFRP,I have never played the 40k system, but as both are released by the same game company I would have expected them to be similar...)

40k uses a system more similar to WFRPG 2nd edition with some significant differences though. Careers for instance.

I've been fiddling around with various conversions as well since the release of WFRPG 3rd. Some methods takes a lot of work and will douse your fire before you finish a project like that unless you have lots of help.

Atm I'm working on a very lighteasy conversion where the basic rules are WFRPG but all the gear is still 40k but with a few changes to balance them for the WFRPG rulesaction cards.

Good luck with your con.

cheers
