Thoughts on Copying / Printing cards?

By JayDe, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

for background I am running a gaming group of 5-ish people (5-7 decks) off a SINGLE CORE SET and single copy of a half-dozen expansions, both deluxe and an ebay purhcase that ended up being mostly junk. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars to get enough innovations, villages, demolitions, skaven cards for a full deck etc I have taken to photo paper and using another card as backing within the card sleeve.

What opinions does everyone have on this? I know its not very legitimate, but it works well for our gaming group and really gives us the chance to experiment where otherwise we couldn't.

If you're just playing within your group of friends then why the hell not? =P I wouldn't take it to a FLGS, as I'm sure you would get complaints there but if you're just play testing between friends there's nothing wrong with it. We've done it before with other games.

I bet I'm setting a trap for myself: thinking im getting awesome with my deck, but if a local competition occurs i won't actually have a deck to use ;) .

Well, if one or two of your friends buy their own core sets, then you guys can all playtest and mess around with the various copies, but when a competition rolls around you can share your singleton cards with each other.

"Hey, can I borrow your copy of Hate for the tournament?" You just gotta make sure that you give them back!

I meant "various copies of the cards that you printed off", not various copies from the core sets... ****, is there an edit option that I just can't find on here?

Don't think so, I was looking for a way to message someone the other day and couldn't find one either... unless I'm missing something.

You can only edit your post for like 5 minutes or so after that the edit option vanishes. PN function and answering is really complicated here because everything runs over email or something like that.
