What thoughts does everyone have on Skaven these days? They became lightly popular a while ago and I've finally gotten around to making a deck w/ them using DE tactics + base. I played one game against orcs and controlled them nicely, but my gaming group is well behind in expansion packs and I wonder how the development focus and enemy cycle has changed how they should/could be played.
Skaven in the Modern Invasion
Only recently (after adding March of the Damned), managed to finally purge all decks of Skaven cards, leaving them true mono-faction (with a few neutrals in them naturally).
Well 'Clan Moulder Elite' is still one of the best units around certainly.
Outside of that, the thing that has really been keeping skaven down lately has been 'Master Rune of Spite'. Many of the most powerful skaven can easily fall prey to this tactic. Calamitus posted a pretty resilient Dark Elf/Skaven deck recentlyit should be viable still.

Adding a neutraldestruction tactic canceler would really revive those rats but as said, Master Rune of Spite is too big of a threatit's so strong that it's in nearly every dwarf deck.
Yes, I imagine Zealot hunter (which kills a unit not sharing the capital's affiliation when it enters play) would hurt Skaven.
I checked Clamatius' deck. He has no support destruction, is that not an issue? I was considering converting to Skaven + Orc for the Pillages, but i love the HP reductionCalling the Blood too much.
