After picking up Operation Cyclone I was curious how long it would take before we would hear about the next expansion. the wait is over. New armor 3 soldier units, with 2 movement points, gorillas and buildings. Looks like we are in for some more fun. I just hate the waiting. And it looks like they are taking the fight to England.
Operation SeeLowe New units
i'm kinda concerned about the next expansion .
i dont have access to all the comics and graphic novels and all the stuff parente did to make this worl all these years , so i may be wrong , but i thought some one said the zombies and gorillas were in the castle story , and that fits with the description of opperation papaerclip according to the back of the rules book .
the description for operation seelowe talks about faster (recon/light) walkers and a new genration of soldiers , but not in a sinster tone .
i know that they have a dif. plan to do the expansions than AEG , but i am wondering if they have decided to one expansion by tossing some of its contents into the other expansions .
i am hoping i am wrong .
does anyone have the comics to confirm ?
I have both series of the comics. What are you wanting you know?
Their will be apes and undead as they do appear in the comics. As such we also just got the Allied walker, Mickey, which was in the comics as well. She was a soldier who laid down her life for her friends, as such they named an allied walker after her, Mickey.
I also remember seeing some picture of future Dust Tactics figures and I remebering seeing both the apes and the undead (and now they are seeing the light of day...at least the apes). Also if you read the back of the rule book for "Operation "Cyclone", we know the next expansion will focus more so on the Axis point of view then that of the Allies as we saw in "Operation "Cyclone".
Once again, if you have any questions about the comics, please ask and I will get back with you. The comics are done very well and I enjoyed them very much. Check them out if you are able as both series should be done in a softcover edition ( I know the first series is as I picked it up in that format).

hey did anyone notice this Ozz 117 from Dust and Master Chief John117 Halo. Both have power armor, both no one knows his real name (other than john for chief), both are heroes, and one is on Halo while one is in Seelowe. Just thought it was funny.
I don't like the armoured Space Marine at all, it's straight from WH40K. The armour style looks to futuristic and high-tech to fit in with the clumsy tanks on leg style.
First the armor looks old its big and bulky like a old diver suit. Plus this is prob a jump in time so its 1950 prob and all those retro looking stuff will be coming out. Look at the Jetsons. Second the answer to your other thread is no they wont come out with the models all at once. The only reason the first one does is b/c its a initial box set while all these are buy as you go kinda thing. I wish the same thing but they make more money off of us if they do it that way.

You can always substitute a figure that's a little more retro. I have these APEs from Grindhouse games. They are metal, but are in the same scale:
Now that looks much better than the 40k Space Marine.
You can get both comic series in 1 TPB form. I got mine from Barnes & Noble online and it cost like 15.00. It has both stories and a whole bunch of concept art in the back for all the different factions (japan, Sino-Soviet, allied, and axis)

whatis the title of it ? i have seen alot of items on sites like amazon (usually with the "not currently available" descriptor ) and want to make sure i get the right one .
Yes you can use those models but not in tournaments.
GrandinquisitorKris,
Forgive me for taking so long to get back to you, sir. I went back read through the story arc so I could answer your question better. So here goes...
is the castle that would be in operation paperclip the origin of the zombieape troops ,is there someting else going on there ? because that would suggest some hinkyness with operation paper clip if they were originaly supposed to come from that expansion as opposed to seelowe .
YesNo. Yea, just had to do that but then again I think in the end it will all come together. Yes, this is the first time we heard about the apesthe first time we get to see both in that of the apesthe undead units. So in a short answer it would be yes, this is the first time we have heard ofsaw either the apesundead units (but then again, this is the first serieswe are all being introduced to the world of "Dust" through comics).
With that being said, I have to also say no, at least when it comes to the apes. How is this? Let me explain. In the first series of comics we see that the Russians (or Sino-Soviet Allies) getting ready to launch a mission on a Axis target, Reicher Castle. Here we are told that the Sino-Soviet Allies know about the Axis having "brain enhanced apes" from that of American intel (in which they are also informed of the Axis space operation called "Sonnenreich"). Intel also provides them that there are around 20-ish such apes (which either came from a spy in the castle at the timefrom the US having "contact" with these apes in the past).
So I say no, this is not the first time the Allies have come across the ape units as we have already been told that the US Allies shared intel about this unit with that of the Sino-Soviet Allies. So it is very playable for the next expansion to take up the ape unit vs the US Allies (as long as it stays the US Allies).
I look for "Operation: Paperclip" to introduce us to the Sino-Soviet Allies (with the focus on a lady from Moscow, Koshka)maybe that of the undead unit but I am not FFG so what I am guessing at is just that, guessing.
I hope I helped more than left you with wonderingif you have any other questions, shoot, I will try to answer the best I can.

thank you VERY much , that helps alot .i would ask another question , its been bugging me to hear that the sinosoviets are allies with the "allies" not because of some red hatesome such , but because i just find it hard to believe that tha USsinosoviets would be on good temr when the map shows they have control of florida , cuba ,parts of alaska . as well as other territories , that are shown as red , which would suggest competitionconflict .
so just HOW close are the alliesthe sinosoviets ?
I think I can explain it in a phrase commonly used "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" they were originally allies in WWII but I think the cold war is involved now also so its a cold world war rather than world war II and cold war. The soviets are a minor threat to the allies compared to the axisI think the map is more of influences than actual possession. E.g. Florida has a lot of Cubans so the influence would be communism. The both hate Sigridthe axis power more than they don't like each other. Also there is only one person (i forget her name Koshkasomething) who you see as an allieshes a commander so her underlings have to follow orders to not hate them either, but she's in love with Joe.
The young lady from Moscow is that of Captain Koshika Rudinova. This is the Allied figure I look to see in that of the "Operation: Paperclip" expansion as she is the one whom is in charge of the mission.
I also look for the undead unit for the Axis to show up in that of a troop pack of some sort (but this is only going on how the story unfolds in the comicsFFG may have another plan all together in introducing us to this undead unit).
As a matter of fact, the Mickey does not become a Allied walker until the second series of comics. Mickey gave her life to save Joehis squad in which they named an Allied walker after her. But FFG has already given us the Mickey so we may see things come to light that we have never before (and some thing before their time if one was to take the comic series as their source of intel...which is what I do but have no problem giving FFG a little wiggle room). If you read the first series of comics you will see another Allied walker that looks allot like the Mickey but is called, Rosie. Hmmm, who knowsfor the love of the gamethis great universe, I am not going to start asking to many questions... yet...LOL.

The name of the comics is: "Dust Wars".

The second series of comics actually takes place before the first. The Mickey walker from what my understanding in the comics is the first allied walker. This is also the first time JoeKoska meet. Other types of units that you see in in the first comic are troops with jump packs.
Good catch. See, I need to dig out the second series as I forgot all about how the timeline went. So scratch the Micky, Rosie issue, my bad.

Not to be too picky about it, or anything, but is anyone else mildly confused by Ozz's stats?
He's a level 3 infantry model, so why does he only have 4 health points while Markus from operation cyclone is a level 2 with 5 health points? Perhaps the answer lies in this secret 'Heroic Attack' ability, or perhaps level 3 opens up new abilities? There was some mention of climbing in the next expansion, was there not?
Anyway, I'm getting a bit carried away. I haven't even finished the blue thunder campaign yet and don't have enough models for operation cyclone!
the level has no basis on ability. the level is purely an armor value or a how hard to hit value.

We haven't seen any official rules for infantry classes other than level 2 at the moment, so let's not jump to conclusions. I hope that you're right though, as I feel it would add an unnecessary level of complication to the game if different infantry levels had their own independent, inherent abilities
I didn't read the card properly and now see that Ozz is a pretty nippy-fast little customer with 2 movement and 'jump'. This more than makes up for his HP rating. I was just a little confused when I compared his stats with those of Markus, but what you say makes sense!
Red
not jumping to conclusions at all. they go over the armor types in detail on page 4 of the main rulebook. i do hope Ozz gets some jump troops to compliment him though.

Fair enough.
I just thought of something july 7th 1947 the day of the UFO crash near Roswell N.M. what if the Allies somehow salveged alien tech from the wreck that could explane how Ozz gets his armour and it would take a considerable amount of time for the Allies to find the castle cordinate resources and prepare the troops then to infiltrate enemy territory that would probably take about a year, year and a half at most at least thats my take on it.
End of Line...
