Why no Chester’s Backing? Because I didn’t own any at the time of the tournament! Frankly…I’d be hard pressed to find room for it. Probably for Curse of Immortality as it serves a similar purpose of keeping my life near tip top shape.
Sideboard? I had a Sideboard, but I never used it so it doesn’t matter.
Otherwise, this is pretty much your standard Air Beats decks. Olexa is the best Air character in block 3 so why not eh?
Deck is pretty self explanatory. Play gray, beat face, win game. Flip Feline Spike as your first check of the turn three times in a tournament and still go to the finals...
Rejection actually saved my butt a couple times, so don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. (It should also be noted that every card in the deck except for Tag Along has a block…Tira’s Contract was 2 of the cards in my sideboard, if I had another it would have been three.)
Rising Rage Flash is ridiculously good, and should probably staple itself as a x4 of alongside Feline Spike in any air deck. Being a high zone means it stands a good chance of eating a high block, opening up the way for Feline Spike. The 6 damage also baits out Rejection or a partial block, once again opening up the way for Feline Spike. It also serves as a decent LAST bit of damage or an early quick ping to set up momentum for Olexa if you didn’t draw White Magic.
