Uhh, Eldar torps are under the Eldar section of the book. What they do i wont tell, since i believe that Battlefleet Koronus is a good buy, if one is interested in Space Combat.

Every torpedo has a use, every single one of them.

Although i advise against guided ones, simply because a good opponent will be able to make the torpedoes commit mutiny. Against a bad opponent there is no need to use the more expensive guided torp. Unless youre RT has aquired a steady resupply line of guided torpedo cogitators.

@Voronesh: Well actually, I did not truly comprehend the first post, since the question and the e-mail answer feels like'different'. Quite sure that the question was about Jovian Macrobattery while the answer about Nova Cannon. Since I dont have the book at that moment (plus some morning-syndrome), it took me a few moments to assume that the e-mail is the correct one (couldnt cross-check them back then).

The Eldar starships detailed in Edge of the Abyss are correct. So are
the Eldar starships in Battlefleet Koronus. It's a big galaxy, and
there are plenty of different classes and types of Star Cannon
macrobatteries.

Morale loss is temporary for any inferior components, whether they use

Ship Point and Morale modifiers are not among those modifiers that you
can choose. You get those automatically, choose from the other
categories.

I have a question about the Miloslav warp engine, maybe leading to an errata. The Miloslav warp engines are cheaper than the warp engines from the core rules because they are more dangerous to use (if I interpret the description correctly). This translates into the following rules: warp travel time reduced by half, and warp travel encounters are rolled for every 3 days instead of every 5 days.

Now take a regular voyage of 30 days warp travel time. Normally you'd make 6 warp travel encounter rolls. With a Miloslav warp engine however you half the warp travel time to 15 days, and make 5 warp travel encounters. So the Miloslav is not only cheaper in power and space, it's also safer as you'll have to make less warp travel encounter rolls. This can't be right can it? Or should you make the number of warp travel encounters calculations before you half the duration? (actually that sounds right, so that'll probably be it)

Actually im bashing GW for putting out such a crappy 4th ed codex after the Chaotic glory that was 4rd. FFG were all good here, i guess you meant 2 days instead of 3 though.

Worth pointing out that if your ships suffers the Lost Time event, the Miloslav's drawback quickly becomes apparent...

No, you just get a bonus of +5. As far as I can tell, you'd need 3 squadrons of bombers ("beyond the first") to get the +10, as the first additional bomber/assault boat squadron grants the +5, and after that every 2 squadrons grant an additional +5.

It's saying none of the numbers can hit 0 from the mods, however best quality lets you subtract or add a point of generated power. Now there are a lot of components that suck up just 1 power, so if I choose to add a point of generated power, doesn't that mean the component generates as much power as it consumes, effectively making the power consumption 0?

Or can only the ship's drive generate power?

Also I'd really like to see some rules saying we can halve the components (as well as their bonuses and penalties), so we can fit more in a ship. The dang things are miles long and usually at least a mile high and wide (not counting the small glass cannon type vessels), so how is there such a limit on the number of non-essential components we can have? Blah, maybe I'll make a house rule for that.

Only components that generate power (Lux Nets, Plasma Banks, et cetera) are able to generate more. Any other components would simply reduce the power used.

Do you need to pay for the inlcuded landing bays on the Dicator class, or is it included in the hull's base cost? And that goes for all of the other hulls that have included components too.

Included in the SP cost. Remember that you need to account for Power as well.
