Core + Exodus - Pegasus = no deal?

By Run for the Quiet, in Battlestar Galactica

Hello,

We just got Exodus for our friends birthday, and wanted to play it for the 1st time when we give it to him,

we couldn't find Pegasus in any of our local stores or have it shipped from Amazon in time, so as I'm trying to decipher the rules
(without opening his present!) I'm getting confused as to if you can play with Exodus with just the core?

Also any tips for playing it would be welcome!

Thanks for reading!

You can most definitely play Exodus with just the core rules, and some people would recommend it. In fact, one of the options in Exodus cannot be used with the New Caprica end game that Pegasus brings, because it has its own end game.

For the most part all FFG games work this way: the expansions require the core rules but not each other.

that's sweet!

I'm so glad you said that! It's been a hotly debated topic over SMS today!

thanks

The only thing that may confuse your group is execution but just look at the rules for pegasus on the support pagealso check out the rules for exodus while you are at it.

The execution rules are in the Exodus rulebook as well. They're different from those in Pegasus (executed humans get new loyalty cards instead of being guaranteed good guys for the rest of the game).

What about the treason cards! :o THE CAAAAAARDS!! :o
