I'm gonna pre-order some boxes. I was wondering; does anyone know if it is neccessary to have more than one command squad per side? or is it even possibly rules wise?

I'm building my collection to have at least two of every unit. But if there is no reason to ever have more than one command squad on the battlefield at one time that would save me a couple of bucks.

Page 20 of the rule book. Command Squads are as rare as able field officers... You cannot have more than one of these units in your army at the same time. This limitation does not apply if the command squads have different types of armor. So your army may have a 2 Command squad and a 3 Command squad, but not two 2's.

So only order one.
