Specifically, I am thinking of a knife wielding rogue or a fencer style character. Is there any way in the RAW to use your Agility to hit/damage with such weapons instead of your Strength?
Is there any way to build an agility based melee character?
Yes, a few Action cards let you use Agility to attack with Weapon Skill. (Nimble trike and Acrobatic Strike, namely)
These are very good cards. You could combine them with some other interesting things like Dramatic Flourish (uses Fel) for example.
Be sure to give this character Improved Dodge, Improved Parry, Riposte, and a sword and a left hand dagger.
There is an action card for using Nets effectively in the Creature Vault... I must be forgetting a few, but it already up to a good start !
Also look for action cards that give you a greater chance of gaining extra maneuvers so that you can move in, strike and move out again. The key to being an agile fighter is to be agile. Don't just think in D&D terms of it allows you to swap strength for dex. You need to be agile. The Wardancer career is designed specifically for this. But even without using that career and it's associated actions you can make an accomplished agile fighter through other means. But again you have to think of a full agile fight. Don't expect to make an agile fighter that can go up against a tank and stand there and trade blows. That's now how fencer's fight in real life and it's certainly not going to work in the game.

Finally that's what I tried to say wardancer in my playing group. You talking from my heart. If you are an agile fighter you just do some damage and then you fade out. And you must have many active defence cards. I hope that in Omens of war will be some new cards to play in this style.
Hi,
I was musing on an agile wardancer build using javelins with immobilising shot as a little strategy trick. Feels like a wardancerish kinda move, pin someone down, seperate his buddy in combat, kill, return to now free first guy, kill him too...
Of course I'm the gm for my group but one can have idle dreams...
Have fun
There are lots of agility baes melee cards. You could easily build a character around ballistics and then give him perfect survivability in combat (as long as he has armor/toughness).
