Out of shape...

Man.. I just read through ONE deck on the forums and I don't know what half the cards did nor what symbols it has. I used to be able to name all the symbols and abilities by simply the card's name.. anyone else on the same boat? I've been so lackluster with my deckbuilding, collection and playing that I don't know the cards through and through for the past 3 releases. Especially now that I'm hustling to get the GCC together as well as the new shop. This is coming from a current player and active TO.. I now have a better idea of how players who've been out for half a year feel when they just return.

I seriously need to get it together.. especially if I'm gonna make rules decision for a major event. eek? .... man.. I need to seriously get on a diet too.. this keg is getting bigger each week.

I know how you feel man. It is oft times that I only get serious tournament UFS in once every 3 or 4 months when a regional or coastal championship comes up, so I'm often times hazy on cards. But I make a serious time investment every time the new sets come out to go over all the cards and get a vague imprint of them in my head, so I at least know what they're talking about.

As for rulings? I'm horrible with them, there's a reason I'm the only mod on the old forums that wasn't an arbiter (and subsequently on the change over...).

Yeah.. I need to get my game on. Nick.. chill man.. I got more important stuff to do like getting the shop ready for the event. We'll get some games in. Your best bet is to get with Finch, Alan and Eric to practice.

I'll cram like I usually do for test back in the schooldays.. hehehe.

i have always been out of shape with card names in UFS. since i only started playing at the end of 07, i am always trying to catch up. in the old days, when i played yugioh, i could recite every card in every set's efect. for me, now that block three is about to start, i am finally begining to catch up on card efects.
