Hey folks,
I was really pleased to get my copy of Battlefleet Kronus today (missed the delivery yesterday - I now get all my FFG books from Celestial Books and Games, service is second to none and the staff could not be more helpful). Guns n Gear books rock, especially when its 40k.... I dove right in as soon as I got home from work. My favoured way of reading the books for the first time is not to flip ahead. Each page is a new and wonderous adventure to be savoured carefully. You can imagine my confusion then when the books went from starship components to battlecruisers with the end of a sentence missing. Then from Battlecruisers to New Starship Hulls, again missing the end of a sentence. Then on to battlcruiser hulls...
So it turns out my copy has the following error - Page numbers go 16, 17, 22, 23, 20, 21, 18, 19, 24, 25, 30, 31, 28, 29, 26, 27, 32, 33, 34 then back to proper order for the rest of the book.
As you can imagine, it makes it a tad difficult to read. It's a pretty major error (not sure if it would be printing side, if I've just been unlucky or if it's a general mistake). Anyone else have this error?
What do I do about this? I'm not really keen to take the book apart just to be able to make sense of the rules - it is supposed to be a working document (by that I mean myself and potentially my future players would be using this for reference and rules). Assuming the error is just in my copy, do I contact FFG for replacement? Or is this another example of what is becoming a habit from FFG - that books are going out with glaring production mistakes in them (on top of the to be expected rules errors and ommissions). I've noticed that the spelling and proof reading varies in quality massively from book to book, but this is a new low.
Thoughs, comments, suggestions? Please note I'm not a hater, I'm just really dissapointed. This book is almost not fit for purpose as a rule books.
