Playing this game tonight inc;luding the Dungeon and Highland Expansions plus the other three sets for the first time. Going for a curry first then playing into the night with a few beers of course. Can't wait! This will be the first time we have played with everything having only just got into this game a few weeks ago. Love the way the expansions fit into the main game adding more depth without complicating things.
First Full game tonight!
Tell us how it turns out
Regards
Let us know how it went
Game lasted until 2am so a bit bleary eyed this morning but well worth it. We used the hidden ending variant and ended up with Judgement Day. First player to reach it got killed but I managed to get there second and it was a win for players of good alignment which were 2 of us. Highland and Dungeon Expansions were both very cool. The Dungeon became very dangerous as we dropped a lot of cards with either high numbers or they had to be combined. I managed to get the torch which menat I could roll two dice in the dungeon and choose which to use for movement so I was able to pick my spot each turn and gain a lot of craft and strength points that way. Had about 10 of each at the end.
We decided to let each player draw 5 character cards and choose one and then choose from the others if they died. My Swashbuckler lasted 4 turns and lost every battle and I finished the game using the cleric. The Reaper was great fun to use as well.

You drew 5 character cards? that's too much freedom for me.
I use the rule to pick 3 characters..
So it was the Swashbuckler vs the Cleric?
How did the Cleric plays?
Swashbuckler is one of the best characters in the game. It seems you did not have much luck with him..
As you say I did not have much luck with the Swashbuckler but I thought he looked like a really good character. we drew 5 cards as were were using a plot of new character cards for the first time and wanted to increase our chances of drawing some. As it turned out one player used three, a couple of us used 2 and one player kept the same one throught out the game only to die at the end.
The cleric played very well. Only 3 starting life but you can cancel a loss of life by discarding Fate and she starts with 3 of those.
