My top 3 wish-list...

By Spivo, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

What would your top 3 wish-list be?

Aside from the comming products comming out today... mine would be:

1) Errata/missing cards sold as booster packs...

2) Fortune/misfortune dice sold seperately (and not 1 of each in dice-packs)

3) Elven expansion pack and/or a large campaign

Not saying my life would be perfect then, but pretty darn close gui%C3%B1o.gif

re #1, it would be the errata cards included in product like the Omens of War expansion (free essentially) - FFG has done this with similar products in past.

re#2, this is tricky as needs vary, but spinning off their "print on demand" and "individualized orders of Arkharm Investigator miniatures", if you could buy "individualized sets of dice" from FFG that would be great. Otherwise as a pre-set pack, I find it's "white, black and purple" dice that run low around table and a pack of 4 white/4 black/2 purple or so would be nice.

re #3, Elves and Haflings please!

[smart-ass]

I guess you'll get some rules for Haflings in the mounted combat section of Omens of War

[/smart-ass]

- Social rules/classes/skills/actions

- Criminal rules/classes/skills/actions

- once they stop their paired expansions of Chaos gods, a pairing of racial enemies.
Dwarves / Greenskins for example, or Undead / Empire, or Elves / Dark Elves; etc

Elves.

After that it's pretty much just scenarios. I don't need more fluff on Bretonnia, Kislev, etc. This sounds horrible, but as scheduled, the game's pretty much completed in necessary crunch for me (I could actually do with a little LESS crunch lately).

Personally?

Hmmm...

Firstly, I'd like some fleshed out rules for poison. I dislike that it just causes fatigue, which seems at odds at how potent and lethal a lot of it is (particularly the Dark Elf stuff). Some cards for poison types, considering the trend, may be nice. Could compliment the Slaanesh supplement.

Secondly... an Epic adventure, either spanning several supplements, akin to the Haarlock's Legacy trilogy for Dark Heresy, or one mega-adventure, such as The Thousand Thrones.

Thirdy... yeah, I guess some nice supplements to flesh out the two Elven races would be great, though I'm pretty sure that's on the product conveyor belt. Would be interesting to see if / how they tackle Elven mages (both Wood Elf and High Elf), and it would be nifty to see some more iconic units from the respective Fantasy Battle armies make it in.

Oh, I'd also love a nice serving of different pets (or even familiars)!

1. A much longer product schedule, so we could see when to expect things like tier 4 & 5 priest careers, wood elf stuff, etc.

2. I'm not too fussed about official errata cards as I'm reasonably happy to print them off and sleeve 'em - but please, please, let's try and avoid these issues in future.

3. Better communication so we can avoid issues like the massive confusion when the guides were announced and also just get a better insight in to what is happening at FFG, what are the plans for this product line, what are the developers currently working on/interested in.

Question: Figured I ought to check - are there any developer blogs etc that I am missing that would give more insight into the process? Or is the only real communication thus far Sifting Through Shadows?

Hi,

1) A supplement that goes into detail about Elves (both flavours). Elvish politics and a guide on the social structure you'd find within the different elf communities. More careers and ideally some thoughtful work on Elvish magic, not necessarily for players but at least something for gms to work with. Halflings would be good too..

2) A proper big investigative campaign. Its easy to refer back to TEW all the time, but I think FFG have done some really good single scenarios with a fun story with interesting setting and NPCs. I'd just like to see something that links together over 3 or 4 seperate adventures.

3) Generally less rules/editing errors in the products. Nobodies perfect but its still frustrating at times

Those should be included in future expansions for free. Just like it was in the past with other game. And I hope that FFG will include them in the next product (probably Black Fire Pass or something else, I'm not counting on Omens Of War).

I wouldn't worry about that. I think that such a supplement will come sooner then You think. But in my opinion it will not be a expansion like Omens Of War but something similar to Black Fire Pass. So we will get a adventure with additional book about Elves + some extra Elves carrers. It would be great if we would get two such expansions - one about Wood Elves and another about High Elves. Becouse I think of those as two sepearate races - there are to huge differences between them. Maybe Wood Elves could be with a adventure set in Athel Lorien. Then High Elves could come in a Ulthuan expansion in similar format to Omens Of War and could have Dark Elves included. We will see what this years Shiffting Shadows will bring.

I'm writing a full system for alchemy in 3e that i hope will make the cut for libre fanatica, including poisons and drugs..

To the orginal question.

ELVES, never had a suppliment, two would be better woodies and high.

Social and slaanesh always wanted..

Nobles and Thevies iconic and well useful.

Greenies would be nice to see done, I would also like Dark Elves as they have barely been touched. But the above three are top prioriety.

Thanks Crimsonsun

Under the assumption that the supplement for Slaanesh is already slated for release, if I could choose three products for Warhammer that would excite me it would be:

1- Elves (could they do one that covered all three: Wood, High, and Dark? If not then I'll not more product choices.)

2- the Empire (perhaps with regional talents and general careers from the bottom up - criminals to nobles. Don't forget halflings.)

3- something drastically different and never done before like maybe (the New World, or the Land of the Dead, or the East, or the Dark Lands, etc...). I'm a dreamer.

Hmm lets see...

  1. Slaanesh expansion with noble careers, social cards, and poisons (its a very high society political intrigue thing!)
  2. Empire in detail with rules on additional human types aside from the Reiklander human
  3. Rules for the game past Rank 3

Was never a fan of the pointy ears, and with Blackfire pass I assume we'll see Ulthuan and the Wood here soon. If I had to hope for a 4th, I could do with more info on the Undead, Vampire Counts and the like.

I think an undead box to follow up the four Ruinous Powers boxes sounds very plausible. If this is combined with insight on a new region, like the Vampire Counts, then this would be marvellous!

Other than that, more info on humans (and halflings) and about a specific region would be higher on my list as an elf box. But judging from the Small but Vicious Seminar stuff I fear that elves are going to come first…

1. Slaanesh

2. Bretonia (maybe with lots of undead stuff crammed into it)

3. A really large campaign

42!

My list:

  1. Errata cards
  2. Advanced Social/Rogue type careers
  3. A really meaty campaign
  4. Dwarvish & Elvish rules

- an epic campaign

- a city sourcebox with lots of material and adventure (could be linked to epic campaign)

- greenskins sourcebox + all kinds of other "race"-sourceboxes like elves, halflings, vampires, skaven ...

- a lot of adventures

- sourceboxes on the empire and its regions, on bretonnia, kislev and so on. with all kinds of monsters and magic and adventures included

- I'd like to have some sort of booster packs with stats and cards for new monsters and a variety of NPCs and actions for ranks 3 and 4.

What's the point of being modest?

1. A quarterly PDF magazine with POD cards and stand-ups.

2. A 6 lb boxed set on Altdorf.

3. A 16 lb boxed set of The Enemy Within.

This made me smile and chuckle

1. A concise list of actions used by each creature in the Creature Guide.

3. A concise list of actions used by each creature in the Creature Guide.

I'd love to see this as a pdf on the support page. I really want to love the Creature Guide, but I find that the way the information is presented makes the book VERY inconvenient to actually use.
