I'm not sure that half a truck would be able to move at all.
going from memory here but i don't think it's a miss print. but when we sent them lend lease we sometimes changed the makeup of the vehicle we sent.
i do not belive any of the tanks we sent had the gyro stabization device attached as one example

I don't understand....
Movement value german half truck: 7
Russian half truck: 6
Is that ok or maybe a missprint?

We sent them trucks with a governor on them?
A Russian half a truck at Stalingrad would move one hex forward because of sheer determination, and Stalins order: not one step backwards.

Perhaps at the assembly plant you could have a 'half truck' or 'half a truck', but the military would want to receive either trucks or halftracks. The word halftract is based on the word track, not truck, as explained at Wikipedia:
"A half-track is a civilian or military vehicle with regular wheels on the front for steering, and caterpillar tracks on the back to propel the vehicle and carry most of the load. The purpose of this combination is to produce a vehicle with the cross-country capabilities of a tank and the handling of a wheeled vehicle. It is not difficult for someone who can drive a car to drive a half-track, which is a great advantage over fully-tracked vehicles which require specialized training. Half-tracks thus facilitate moving personnel and equipment successfully across varying terrain."
Which brings us back to the question: Is this discussion about trucks or halftracks?
Ok, halftracks ....
