when you have a card called "Cheat"...
Mansions Of Madness
Still doubtful about MoM's replayability, but had a nice second game today. Michael went insane, attacked Mary (missed
), then, seeing no other option, blew his own brains out
. Joe Diamond replaced him, started getting horror damage right away, soon developed Kleptomania. At one point, hearing voices and trying to shut them out, Joe started banging his head against the wall, taking damage, resulting in an injury. Guess those voices were loud
. Zombie ripped Mary down on the last turn.
First game investigators won, both Ashcan and Harvey left the Mansion insane, but alive.
MunCth's rules were what was most annoying, but I don't like mixing serious and parody themes. I'd try regular Munchkin.
it's more for those who love the Mythos more-so than those who love Lovecraftian Tales. If...that makes sense. You know, so you can recogonize and laugh at the cards and some of the mechanics, and recall the story they're from, but without they're subliminal terror for a change!
It's all about expectations I suppose! I don't expect to be scared when I play Munchkin Cthulhu
(PS-I haven't played Munchkin in forever. I miss it!)
