I did a quick search -here and on the web- and nothing came up in regard to this.

But I was wondering if there was any unofficial conversion of the 4 races from Shattered Empire done or any unofficial expension for the TI RPG?

If anyone could direct me to the right direction or offer pointers for a DIY conversion it would be appreciated.

I'm certainly not aware of any such conversion myself, but I don't own the RPG so I haven't exactly gone looking. I know there were a few people discussing the TI RPG here a while back, though. Starting up email games and whatnot. If any of them are still around, they may have kitbashed some stats for those races. Hopefully they'll chime in.

If you haven't already, I'd also check around the forums at ti3wiki.org and BGG to see if there's anything along those lines there.

meanwhile that's 8 race to convert.

I looked up the links you gave me and, although quite interesting, they pretty much focus on the borad game and don't seem to have a conversion of the 8 other races in the game fro the RPG.

So back to step one: Has anyone converted these race or would have conversion idea to suggest?

For you information, the TI RPG is generally despised by FFG (myself included) as it was developed completely outside the actual "TI" IP management. So, it is important to note that nothing in the TI RPG is "canon" in the TI universe.

That is to bad. It would be nice if FFG would look into doing a proper TI3 RPG. I have the original and there is much missing from it and I would love to have a new version that took into account all the new races and proper storyline.

I've shied away from FFG's RPG books due to their high cost, but a friend of mine owns Dark Heresy and it was one of the best RPGs I've played in years. Very thematic and insane, while still feeling like I had a shot.

Now, my Space Opera RPG of choice is Fading Suns (Star Wars notwithstanding), but a setting like Twilight Imperium just seems ripe to create this kind of thing, right up there with Android. I'd love to be a merchant among the stars, a political agent, a universe-changer, maybe even a lost Lazax or something.. Without the veneer of WH40k on it, of course. So if you guys are looking for an IP to expand your RPG catalog, turn to this perhaps?

That being said that,s why I was looking if anyone had taken the time to convert the the 8 "expension" races to the setting. But it seems like there is't so I figure i might do it, using the TI3 race cards.

I also agree that a new 'Licenced' TI3 RPG would be interesting.
