Best cards in the game that only come 1 to a chapter pack?

By jack merridew, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Thoguht it was an interesting idea, so what are the best cards for each house that only have 1 copy in whatever chapter pack they come in

obviously To be a event cards for every house and compelled by the go without saying

Greyjoy

- Pulled Under - my favorite attachment in the entire game

-Allanys Greyjoy- hand control

Targaryen

- Dragon Sight - Don't understanbd why this card doesnt get more play, seems ridiculous

- Red Warlock- high price but worth it if you need certain attachments early on

-Khal Drogo- open for debate if this one is better than the core set drago but im a sucker for renown

Martell

Maester of the Sun- auto include in any summer martell deck

Serve Obey Protect- seems like a great way to win unopossed if your going last

Lannister

- Jhalabar Xho - stop that Bara rush before it really gets going

- Lions Gate- no cost, well worth it

- Tommen Baratheon- always a fan of cheap draw

Baratheon

- King Roberts Host- seems a cheap (if a kings out) way to protect your power

- Iron Throne- Dominance matters

Stark

- Feigned Retreat - great in a seige deck

- Feral Pack- deadly and deadly control

what else?

The neutrals seem to me mine - Val, Judgement, Syrio, etc.

Have to agree with The Hand's Judgement. The best neutral cancel in the game, and we only get one per pack. I'm a big fan of Syrio, Varys and the Red Keep, which is perhaps the best influence providing card in the game. From Clash of Arms I like most of the 8-8 armies. Time for Ravens Renly is really good at 3 gold for 4 STR and renown. Longclaw is a cheap way to give renown (I like to play it one KLE Littlefinger myself).

Really? Well, the To Be's are all good, I guess (although not all equally so - To Be a Wolf is the best of the bunch IMO), but the Compelled By events? Are they really played that much?

A few that I find invaluable, apart from those you mentioned:

KL Knight of Flowers - one of the best characters in the game, period.

DotN Melisandre - all three Mels currently in the game are excellent, and this might just be the very best one.

Val - you love her, you hate her, you can't f**king live without her.

The Hatchling's Feast - auto-include in Burn decks; many players will want to run this 3x.

Cat o' the Canals - if you don't want to get rid of her, you probably won't have to.

Gilly - the best weenie in the game bar none, if you're playing summer.

Northern Cavalry Flank - Undercosted, Deadly, and in the current metagame non-kneeling on the attack more often than not.

KL Tyrion - very versatile, one of the best cards for a Shadow-heavy Lanni deck.

Condemned by the Council - best neutral location hate in the game?

Honourable mention: Old Nan, Rhaegar, Open Market, Arena Knight, KL Arya, Aegon's Hill, The Hand's Judgement, KL Sansa, Queen of Thorns, The Red Keep, Syrio, Qyburn, KL Varys.

Seems to me that the King's Landing cycle has especially many of those.

I guess plots are exempt, or you'd have to mention the Fury plots, and Fear of Winter, and maybe a few others.

Ahhhh

i forgot about Queen of Thorns, Varys, Red Keep, Hands Judgement, Rhegar, Condemned by the Council, Val and Hatchlings Feast

Also both the white and the green hatchlings

The war Crset location ahte event form KotS

Hand's judgement

For me: 1x events are always chase cards. In my philosophy - if an event is wirth a slot, its usually worth three.

Charatcer cards not so much, even Val - I only have two copies and they don't make eveyr deck (by a long shot) I wouldn't chase that CP for a third copy.

Samwell Tarly is another popular one

Pyromancer's Apprentice is one that I always wish I had more of to go in my various shadows deck.

To Be a Wolf (Sacred Bonds)

Renly Baratheon (The Raven's Song)

Knight of Flowers (Secrets and Spies)

Melisandre (Return of the Others)

Tyrion Lannister (City of Secrets)

Eddard Stark (Tower of the Hand)

The Hand's Judgment (Tower of the Hand)

Val (Return of the Others)
