Clerics and Pure Faith

Misinterpreted? But do worship him as a god now, or not? If yes, that's exactly what I mean.

As far as Acts of Faith go, the way they were implemented into this RPG they really do not seem that powerful in comparison - it's just a different way of using Fate Points, and most effects benefit the entire group* instead of just the "caster".

*: This actually brings up a question I've not found a definite answer to yet. Should Faith Talents only extend their benefits to characters who at least share the caster's general belief, even if not to the same extreme degree, or should they also apply to "heretics" such as Mechanicus characters or Space Marines as long as they are considered allies? The RAW doesn't distinguish there, but as per the RAW a Sister casting AoE holy fire would hurt even the Emperor Himself if he'd stand next to her ...

Only in the case of the Ravens and this is only so because Relic wanted them to be as anomalous as possible in comparison to other chapters.

See:

Thousand Sons Geenseed. (Heavily implied but no confirmation as of yet)

Overabundance of Psykers.

Worship of the Emperor.

Eidetic Memory & Incapability to achieve REM sleep.

Chapter Master is Chief Librarian.

Relics named for heroes of other chapters.

Obsession with finding lost knowledge and keeping secrets from nearly all chapter-brothers, to say nothing of the Imperium at large.

Ah, I know it doesn't apply to all Chapters - it just adds up, such as the newer versions of the Templars and Ultras now sporting more elaborate or outright "religious-like" imagery than their comparatively minimalistic/secular old style, the Blood Angels and the Deathwatch now having adopted the Sisters' Inferno Pistol, the Blood Ravens now also praying to the Emperor as a god. All of these are just tiny things that nonetheless make the Sororitas a little bit less special with each occurence. At least it feels this way. Not to mention that their once-equal equipment is suddenly supposed to suck now, according to FFG anyhow.

But I'm starting to rant again. :P

Quite the list, by the way - I had already forgotten half of it, only remembering the geneseed rumors, the psyker count and the sleep-thing. As far as obsession and secrecy are concerned it doesn't seem that unique, though, at least when I'm looking at the Dark Angels.

Different scale on the secrets, though. The Inner Circle of the Dark Angels and those of all of their successors know about the fallen. Whenever an individual Blood Raven finds some long lost piece of lore they take that knowledge to the grave with them. Or so I'm led to believe, I could be way off on that.

Okay, that does sound a bit stupid. :P

As they are so fond of saying:

"Knowledge is power. Guard it well."
