X2 Damage Weapons

By Wanderer999, in Tannhauser

Hi all, need a clarification:

3 items in the game (the night vision goggles of Captain John, the whip Strafe and the Demon Taint (claws) of the demon trooper) have similar effects in that they all add 1 additional hit for every successful Combat Roll.

What I'd like to know is, if I were the attacker using any of the mentioned items, and I rolled 5 dice and got 3 successes out of the attack roll, do I count my total successes as 3+1 additional = 4? Or do I multiply my result by 2 = 6 successes?

I had been playing it to be getting 1 extra success for every success rolled, meaning I multiplied everything x 2. However, it felt somewhat too strong and I am suspecting I had been playing it wrongly. Please enlighten me anyone?

wait, whaaaat??? you are playing with the revised rules right?? cause then strafe dosn't add more hits, neither dose the night vision goggles or the demon taint.

First of all, you are playing by the old rules, in the revisited rules A LOT has been changed.

However to answer your question, you just add +1 if you score at least one sucess, you do not multiply.

I recently bought the game thinking its the new one but ended up still getting the old version. Next thing I checked the website for the revised rules since it was mentioned that it can be downloaded for free by anyone. I ended up in the Support page with only a section of the revised rulebook called PREVIEW.... Is there an actual FULL revised book as promised, instead of a preview?

sadly, revisited rules are new product that you have to buy. I think you can buy it as pdf for 10 bucks or so. I've bougth rulebook in friendly local shop.

the revises rules are either 10 bucks for digital download or paperback, however you do get them included with a copy of the base game shrinkwrapped to it if you bought the game after the new rules were released unfortunately that wont help you but it is the current method of distribution
